As you have seen on the other thread, Mordred’s Rest is currently under siege. I have set up a separate thread for people to discuss IC actions and similar, please use this and not reply to the story as there may well be additional chapters coming over the next week or so. That thread is considered a private chamber within The Rest. It is possible for mercenary knights to shift in and out of the rest still so you can still do dungeons and things.
While a number of characters are involved, and more may respond to Tai’s call to arms, please limit it to only 1 of your knights characters. Those already mentioned can switch if they chose. These may effect what happens in future chapters, if myself or Rebecca are unlikely to know the character please PM a paragraph or so of character details. Obviously there should be no IC comeback for people whose second characters aren’t there, or for those played by me, Rebecca or Benson, as bit weird if we are included too much! Also, if people want to be involved in the discussions or defending the siege but not written about then just let us know. Although this ties to the knights 24 hour in 2 weeks others should feel free to get involved, but please bare that in mind when discussing things. Also the fact that we can’t set the city or the armies at the caves or 24 hour! What you are actually doing on the 24 hour will be revealed in due course. Any ooc questions or comments please ask here. -------------------- Rich

A couple of minor edits have been made to Chapter 1: primarily correcting a typo or two, but also fixing Vox's title and the fact that he somehow managed to be literally in two places at once. That or he can shout so loudly that he can be heard on the other side of the city, which is certainly possible
Chapter 2 will be up this evening! -------------------- - Rebecca

Rich and Rob have given me a fantastic and varied plot and set of villains to work with, which has made my life a lot easier - definitely point your thanks at them as well!
Thank you also to all of you for being excited about getting involved - I hope I have managed to include everything that you wanted to do, that you felt like it had some effect, and that your character was captured at least recognisably if not correctly. Please continue to post on the forums, or email Rich and I, if you want to try something different based on what you've seen as we progress through the siege. Some of the things that have been the most fun to write have been the different ideas you have all come up with! As you have probably worked out by now there will be a new chapter every other day whilst the siege is ongoing - so if you do want to try something, make sure you post as soon as possible (or by lunchtime of the day of the next chapter at the absolute latest) to give me time to include it. I am really overwhelmed by how lovely the response has been. Thank you so much! -------------------- - Rebecca

Incredible writing! I was a little worried where we fit in as unknown characters to the upper echelons of KOTL but having read this I feel pumped! I really can't wait for the event now!

In-case it is relevant in the writing, Dusk's current hero (Morgan Stone, a spear of the 11th who died in Catten Vale during the troubles there in the chaos wars - he built a whole load of the siege works/walls, specialising in a number of maze-like illusionary and stone walls mixed together with 'traps' and surprises mixed in) is a Green/Brown wizard... seemed odd that he was asking for a brown wizard, when he is one
Very cool story though. Look forward to the next parts, if there are any Huw |

I realised that might be the case shortly after writing it and changed it to "another brown wizard" - it had to be a very deep tunnel to get past the city walls, so would take more than one person to close. Knowing more about him is really useful though, I had been guessing a bit thus far!

Next chapter will be up today. I have to finish the chapter a bit earlier today, so if anyone else was hoping to achieve things, please do post on the IC thread or email me/Rich with what you are planning to do ASAP.
Do also note that you can absolutely take part in the siege if you are not on the 24h! We've had a couple of people who weren't sure. -------------------- - Rebecca

This is amazing - I have had a hectic week at work but will send an email over the weekend when I have had time to assess the current situation.
