A mysterious meeting, Halgar Options

As the dawn rises over the new year, far away from the battles with Pep and going unnoticed in the city the 7 ritualists collapse after their nights work, everything seemed to have gone to plan. Around them are the remains of two powerful rituals, small piles of dust within powerful ritual symbols surrounding them, all that is left of the powerful magic used on the rites.

One of them rises to his feet. Turning to the candle light his black skin and silver hair absorb the light of the candles. The candles flicker and a silvery cloud appears before him. The drowe turns.

“It is complete, the rites have taken hold.” The drowe tells the cloud

“We will test them today, should the bearers of the rites die, then we know you have failed” a voice echoes out of the cloud.

“Payment is due immediately after, remember the price, you or your followers never attack Primus”

“Of course we agree to the terms of the pact made.”

“I am glad to hear it, once you have tested the rites and the pact is complete we will start work on the Laederal Rites for the next dawn.”

With that the cloud fades away.

The rest of the ritualists by now are standing and clearing away the rituals. To a keen eye it is clear there were two rituals cast this night, both clearly interlinked with each other.

In the corner a man standing in the shadows, with a blindfolded skull for a head, steps into the light and the skull fades away and he looks human again.
