Following this thread:
http://www.labyrinthe.co.uk/forum/index.ph...20&start=20 Feel free to post your generic warrior bracket Table 10+ things here that you think are 'standard non-standards' good for wider publishing. If possible please give: - Name - Description - Points cost - Threshold if different to 10k+ (e.g. some may be 20k+) |

What's the 'standard' ways to up your numerical reductions? I hear 12pts off is expected, and fractionals are typically seen in the realm of MR so do people just yellow paper ultra counter masteries to 12pts from 9? The only published way I can see is for heavy armour users and armour masteries stacking with Distancing.
Not great for monks or other dextrous types |

Both my kensai and budoka have distancing increases as their method. Both are bracket locked, battle-master variants. And these were all pre-10k (T10 - T11 region), though maybe you'd get them at 10k+ for non-bracket locked. I haven't needed to or tried. Some of these are somewhat personal to the character.
My kensai has a 1/1/1 increase to distancing abilities for every 2pts of DAC over 12. My budoka has a 0/1/2 increase to distancing abilities per level in a battle-master style multiclass based on seeing glimpses of the future (bigger weapons swing slower so more increase vs them). I have fractionals passed in a couple of post-battle master multi-classes rather than just MR, in-case that helps also. Huw |

I have a MC that gives 12 points off via:
- Counter master broad sword now applies vs all swords - Counter master now applies 9 points vs swords / 6 points all other weapons - Counter master now applies 9 points vs all weapons - Counter master can't be cut through or messed with Post 6th increase to 12 points Requires battlemaster type restrictions and is roughly 100 points per point (1200 total) Post this turn DR into Resilience but that is certainly post 10K territory (as per Ishmaic book but initially vs. weapon blow effects and eventually everything) but that is again about 1K+ (can't quite remember but super expensive) David |

Stuff for warriors:
- don't fall over to dying effects, taking life instead (usually 60 tblp @ 6 per 30 secs per effect so use wisely) - AC, max AC, life, reductions can't be messed with, always apply as they should. Damage can't be applied afterward or the order changed - Max damage six (bracket locked) - staminas increase to 8/3 base - 6th stamina (bracket locked) - just buy T3... you won't regret it David |

I have numericals in every way you can imagine, my only advise is be clear and consistent and spell out what the goal is, most recently I had post battlemaster perm blade flurry then stacks with armour mastery max 12pts simple easy well costed

I just applied for 1point off per table costed in bunches of 3 so cheaper for first 3 pts and a lot for the last 3. about 1100
Post that numerical reduction can instead be used as supernatural resilience. about 1k+ max 7 in B 6 in O (but max 8 ever including temp) innate rages stack and innate rages stack with perm percentiles |

I’m hoping I can get away with a fractionals status to sort out the huge weakness in my Kensai
I have one written but have already submitted a points app this month -------------------- Andy

I'd also add that opportunities to play become rarer so being well equipped with a supernatural weapon (master status) is also something I would add. Nothing like turning up to pay after X years and being without a means to hurt anything
Ideally by 10K you have a supernatural patron and some form of word of recall is good |

The only published way I can see is for heavy armour users and armour masteries stacking with Distancing. Not great for monks or other dextrous types As a Monk, I used the whole dexterous thing and using a spear (so a nice long weapon) as a basis for 12 pts of distancing building up in stages (most of which are tables abilities now I think). Does mean you need to get "able to use parry abilities with a 2-handed weapon" but that should be worth getting anyway Innate PAC as a Monk - not essential but a nice to have even with Celerity Found fractional reductions easiest to justify with a MR ("hardened skin/flesh of stone et al" Following on from Dave's "By 10K ..." post. Some kind of self-healing is essential I think - a variation on a rage perhaps which could give regen or Monk Loc (which can be applied in blocks of 10/20 or even 30) if you do not have PPs -------------------- ------------------------------------
