Wednesday Club, Ideas welcome Options

The next Wednesday club is on the 27th March and now has Dave S reffing.

There has been a bit of a decline in players for them over the last few months and we are keen to get them back up in numbers so would be interested in finding out why people have stopped coming.

Some people have mentioned the cost and not needing the pizza after. Would there be interest more interest if the cost was £21 and didn’t include pizza for players or crew? You could of course still pop to the pizza place over the road yourself and bring it back to shop for debrief.

There is a WhatsApp group for Wednesdays and we generally sort the refs out a few months in advance, let me know if you want to be added.

Any other ideas to increase popularity?

I'm honestly just a bit burned out of laby. My motivation had dried up pretty much across the board. The extended length character Im playing this summer is already close to threshold, my blue wizard cant buy anything for the next 600pts, and my chainmail currently doesnt fit me for my vampire. No characters feel enticing right now. I'm also moving away in the next 6 months are so, which is limiting how much motivation Im feeling to try and level characters up, which probably says more about how I view wednesdays than the larger problem.

I guess right now, I dont really feel rewarded for playing (or crewing) a wednesday, and I can find that for free* at the card tables up top.

Theres not really any specific factors about format - if I felt the desire to play Id find a character - and Ive not been able to eat the pizza on a wednesday in 5 years, so while Im happy for people to cut that its not a factor for me either way.

I'm thinking a max 500 every now and then; maybe once every 6-8 weeks? Allows people to start up new Weds club characters.
The hack and slash style 1500 single length is great at times, but if there are more ideas on how to get variety that is still a stretch to the party, that might encourage me out a bit more often, too.
Don't suppose folks fancy an atheron style Weds club campaign...? No monster pt items, rebirths etc for a more level playing field?
