Buggledexters - Guild Ethos, requirements & restriction Options

Requirements:

Members must not be outlawed and incapable of summoning any form of undead or demon-kind (creatures originating from planes of evil, unnaturally powered, and usually "irrevocably"™ evil with out chance of redemption), except by the use of scrolls & items, the use of which will be strongly discouraged.

Ethos

Everyone, regardless of their racial or professional background is entitled to support and security. However, the creators of undead and demonkind, responsible for so much of the unnecessary suffering in the Empire, and known for their use of unwilling sacrifices, should be re-educated. Undead, especially the mindless creations, and demonkind themselves should be pitied rather than reviled, and every effort spent to release them from their bondage thus allowing them to either continue their journey in peace or return to their rightful plane. Controlling of these creatures is viewed as acceptable only if it is the most efficient method of removing them.

This new guild closely follows the teachings of it's former incarnation as the Buggledexters Adoption Agency. A guild originally established to combat the apparent disregard of the population in general for the plight of children left homeless and abandoned after the various troubles in the land. It is imperative that these forgotten voices are reminded and taught that the world is not just about money, greed, lust and power, but that the principles of truth, trust, love and loyalty still have a huge part to play in all lives, and many rewards can spring from the giving and receiving of these values. The Guild still holds to these ideals, but also believes that all incapable or ill equipped to defend themselves or their family deserve the same loving care and attention.

The downtrodden and the meek of the land whose voices go unheard will speak through us. We shall protect them to the best of our ability while remembering that it is always better to speak softly than strike in haste. That violence will only beget more violence. The deeds of the Heroes of this land will be echoed in the hearts and minds of others, and we need to show that violence must never come before reason. We are here to protect those who need our strength. Let us give our aid to those who ask it.

This chance was given to five young souls (amongst them Latona, Dylan, Carathades and Bubbles) by Martha and Ed Buggledexeter. When this loving couple passed on the newly found brothers and sisters decided that it would be a fitting memorial to their lives to continue their good works.

Restrictions: (Please follow the Spirit of the letter)

1) The 'wilful' killing of living creatures from this world or any other should be regarded as a last resort and to attack a defenceless creature, unless that creature is undead or similarly irrevocably evil, with out due compassion will result in harsh penalties (at refs discretion if necessary).
2) Members are prohibited from 'wilfully' attacking any helpless target unless that creature is undead or similarly irrevocably evil or still posing a threat. Any member that does so of their own volition will suffer a perm -2 pt curse of conscience to which Immunity to Curses does not apply.
3) Guild members will be ready to lend aid and assistance to their fellow members. Any disagreements should be resolved as peaceably as possible and never with bloodshed. To wilfully attack another fully sworn guild member will result in the offender being struck from the roles and a perm -2pt curse of conscience to which Immunity to Curses does not apply. (These curses will stack with each other should both offences be committed by the same guild member).
