This is happens on the morning of Saturday with the end and shield going down at 10am

As the dawn broke on a deathly cold Starsday morn, the assault on the shield was more violent than ever and yet still the air was filling with a building up of power. The skies opened with dazzling sunlight, and what appeared to be a giant flock of birds streamed from the heavens, blotting out the new light. The flock sped out across the skies and with a brilliant flash of light the birds turned into Angels as they smashed into the enemy encampment on the main road out of town.

It seemed as though the hills and the rivers had come alive in support of the Angels, from the opposite side of town the forests had animated and approached alongside water sprites and golems formed from the boulders.

A shrieking, terrifying howl came up from the forest, and grew, until escalating into an almighty crescendo which was followed by a horde of giant wolves charging out into the soldiers of the baron.

Within the bowels of the fortress the ritual was nearing its completion. The final key to destroying the shield of the temple would be completed by binding the soul of the captured Archangel to the baron, then strike the shield with its own power, forcing the Archangel to betray that which he held most sacred.

The power of the ritual grew as the tenth hour approached and could be felt by all. The shield showed the strain, starting to shatter and flicker under the assaults. Strength held though, until a deafening, sickening, deep cracking ripped through the air sending a shockwave across the barony and beyond. All was quiet. As the sky darkened back to night, a shadow of a man in simple robes with no shoes was seen to walk unhurried but certain through the main street, as he approached the shield he reached out to simply lay his hand upon it. As soon as he made contact, the shield sighed, dropped and faded to dust, passing like drifting smoke in the breeze. With the shield no more, the violent fighting from the fortress was audible once again, as a renewed and targeted ritual assault was waged at the temple.
