The long low building was made of dark stone. All around were tall structures, large halls also of stone; it all looked out of place.
Suddenly, darkness shattered the windows, spreading outwards until it covered the halls surrounding it. Nothing could see inside and no noise seemed to leave the darkness. A young man appeared, dressed in the white and red of St Michael, casually holding a golden sword in his hand. Looking at the sight before him, it was hard to read whether he was sad at the sight of the spreading darkness, or what he knew he had to do. His face went blank, and his brow tightened as he sent his last messages and orders to his faithful. He then squared his shoulders, said a few prayers before blazing with light. His face changed and an older, ageless face stared out, but you could still see the man beneath, determined to do what was right no matter the cost. The man blazed in light, griped his golden sword firmly and steped into the darkness. The light is swallowed up and does not return. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
