hi i was just wondering what it would be best to spend my first 200-250 points on as a grey high wizard dan May I recommend buying the guild tier benefits when you are 250 points past it is 50 points. First few points: 10- rebirth 20- discern associated mana 40- +10 mana 45- +19 mana (an additional 9 from +10) if you are going to stay bracket pure I would recommend buying draconic advocate 100% (125 points) I wouldn't bother with cromatic wizard buy up the over the rainbow stuff. Are you going to multirace? Hope that helps, if it doesn't, talk to nat, he is our daimyo (asahina) and is a grey (high?) wizard Matthew Bucknell (one of the other wizards) |

i will only multirace if i can still get dranonic advocate. also can you explain multiracing because i hadnt heard of it Put simply. Multiclassing allows a character to learn the skills of another class in addition to their own one- e.g. Wizard learning to be a warrior, or specialising to become an Archmage Multiracing represents your character turning into a new sort of creature - so human becoming angel, or demon, or golem. You can multiclass lots of times, you can only ever multirace once. Draconic Advocate doesn't stop you multiracing or multiclassing. it sptops you having a multiclass that isn't in the wizard bracket. Since you are a high wizard and can't leave the bracket anyway, it's a no-brainer. Lucy |

My normal spend for a high wizard at 250pts or so is:
10: Rebirth (if you're an elf or evil) 20: Disc associated 160: +34 mana 125: Draconic Advocate I might delay draconic advocate if I wanted to second colour, since the added variety is useful to get in as soon as you hit 200pts. Similarly if there was a signature glyph or two I wanted (e.g. chains of fire/repulsion/torment/invisibility/whatever) I might try to squeeze that in as early as possible. As a high wizard all you are is your mana. So the more you have, the more fun you have. When you run out you're just one more body in the way. Stuart |
