Booking Process
Booking for events will open from today. To book you should send an e-mail to bookings@labyrinthe.co.uk. You should list what events you would like to play and crew. Please indicate if booking to play 2 your preference of which one you would like to play most. People who are crewing an event (or more) will have priority booking to play an event. Players who have done both parts of the Huw & Lilley EL Campaign will also get some priority over people who haven’t, if you played part 1 or 2 you should indicate this in your booking e-mail.
After 2 weeks (8th January), we will review all the e-mails and confirm by e-mail what events people have gained spaces on. As these are sent people will have 2 weeks (we estimate 8th January – 21st January to pay deposits). The deposit amount this year will be £200. The remainder of the event balance will be payable 3 months before the start of the event. Credit portions of the payment can be used for final payment not the deposit. Deposits are refundable if your booked space is used (and paid for) by another person in the event of you having to book off, the same is true for final payments. Payments should be made by BACs to The Labyrinthe Club Ltd Bank account, Card payments via link or in person will have a £10 admin fee added.

Refs & mothers who want to use their pay for an event should drop over an email, but broadly we are happy to do this.

Party size is limited for each event, with the monster limit being ½ the player numbers. We will keep a waiting list for events if needed.

Increased Prices.
With recent inflation and cost of living issues, and ever-increasing overheads we have done our best to keep the cost of 2024 events down, however, this year sees the price for an average 4-day climb above a number we are 100% happy with. We have looked at several options to counter this issue. The solution we have is as follows: for standard 4 day events (not 2-party), should the event run with a full complement of 16 paid players and there are no significant damages done to the events site, we will return the sum of £50 to each player.

Monstering Rewards
In addition to the credits and monster points detailed below, we are also offering the following rewards:

If you book (at least 12 weeks before) to crew an event you may sign up to 50 MP’s a day crewed that you earned on that event straight on to a character, with a bonus 50 if you crewed the whole event (so 250 for a 4 day, 200 for a 3 day).

Credits may be transferred to Monster Points at a rate of 1 credit to 10 monster points; these can’t be signed straight on to a character, except via the conversion above.

Age Limits
These events are open to anyone aged 18 or over.

Anyone aged under 18 (and over 16) wanting to be involved in any capacity will require both parental permission, and the approval of the CMT; this will also generally require 1 year’s regular adult dungeon experience amongst other conditions.

Those under 18 cannot drink any alcohol on the event.
These events have a hard no under 16 policy.

Pre-spending
There will be no pre-spending for 2024 events.

Rewards
All events are calculated on a number of sections for the purposes of both player and monster rewards.

Cleaning & Tidying
Please remember, clearing up and cleaning is part of the event you are booking onto. Everyone is expected to do their bit at the end of the event. None of us particularly enjoy this process but the quicker it’s done the quicker everyone gets to go home. These events are catered, not all inclusive, if you’re not prepared to get stuck into a bit of cleaning at the end, they are not the events for you and you will likely see this reflected in your end of event rewards.

Note on Alcohol from Duncan
I wanted to add a note about alcohol. I appreciate it is everyone’s holiday, and those who have played an event with me know I like a Jaeger more than the next character, but please keep the alcohol intake to a reasonable level, especially when there are still fights and encounters to be done. The now staple set up night, is just that; a set up night, not an excuse to go absolutely wild, so please drink safely and responsibly.

The event is set on a previously explored landmass somewhere on the far reaches of Primus, across distant oceans and roiling seas. A place which those outside nations, factions and peoples are slowly beginning to learn of, take notice and send their peoples to explore or perhaps exploit.

Notes
This event is set at 1500 points and is aimed at, in the first instance, people who are new to Labyrinthe extended lengths. The intent is that at 1500 points it doesn’t require a huge amount of time playing a character up, and is suitable for characters started at the start of the year. More experienced players are of course welcome too, but we will be giving priority to those who haven’t done an extended length before.
