QUOTE(Legionreturns @ Jul 21 2010, 05:47 PM) *
One of my mates, Andrew, is now booked on. He hasn't been down for a few years but he was planning on doing a battle priest so that sounds promising!

I thought it was 12 of 12 just before I left work, it's still 12, has he booked on to the right one ? If so, someone left, I hope not the warrior priest ! 8-0

Of course, as an Alfar I don't expect lots of healing to come my way unfortunately. I likey druids.

Anyone any idea as to the hire reason, ie an in character 'hiring mercenearies' type post. I looked, but can't find one, might not be one but I'm wondering if I missed it (quite possible). Cheers.

Nope, there isn't one yet. I'm hoping it's flower arranging, given the sparsity of healing! Not that it bothers me much, it just puts everyone in the same boat as pointy eared me tongue.gif

Im happy to be the tank as I'll have AC9 and some paladin healing. We could do with some locational healing though if past events are anything to go by as a bunch of warriors with no arms makes combat tricky.

I'm hoping we might get some advance funds... say, 500 now, 1000 on completion. With that 500 we could all buy a few 6 points.

Can I suggest the Warriors think about Shadow Legion as a guild, it gives 15 points of loc healing which might come in dead (poor choice of words perhaps) healing...

Shadow legion is, too my eyes anyway, definatly a roleplay guild rather than one just for the benefits. I feel people in it should really be able to at the very least recite all the rules, and its very uncommon that they do. If it fits the character, go for it, but dont just take it as a filler,

Probably pretty close behind him, given you're going to be wearing chainmail. Although, while us scouts are about 1/2 a mile ahead, you wont need to do much on that front.

I tended to be a little in front of the main party, and a little behind the scouts. If you are in front of the party you can use the tracking skill properly, as the ref is otherwise likely to tell you "you find the tracks of your other 2 warriors, your priest, the wizard, and all the others, anything would have been trodden over". Also, that way you can support the scouts as they run away from the monsters and fall back to let the front line fighters up, I always think of Talen my Ranger as a '2nd line fighter with abilities'.

With chainmail and leather & your innate PAC - and an extra level of life ? - you are as tough as the pure warriors anyway at this level, so personally I would think this would be along the right lines for a 'party order' :

Prior to Combat :Scouts / Ranger (& poss Forest Guardian) / Paladin & Warriros / Wizards & Warrior Priests (followed by poss Forest Guardian if not with ranger)
In Combat: Paladin & Warriors / poss Ranger or Forest Guardian / Warrior Priests / Wizards / Scouts & poss Ranger or Forest Guardian

Although probably it'll end up a wild mess smile.gif lol

p.s. just found out the health progression for an Alfar Forest Guardian is TERRIBLE ! Argh ! It starts off the same as a human, but then rises really crappily
