hi guys
i was thinking about my wisard using short swords because i no people have done this in the past and i was just going to ask how did they do it and for how many points. Currently i don't have a big enough weapon to parry with , but i'm ok parrying with short swords p.s my shorts are made out of bone if that helps at all ! (thanks J.andrews) |

I don't think that what your underwear is made of makes a difference Josh.
Wizards are restricted to dagger, staff or spear. You can't use a shield either. m/c 1st level warrior gives you the skill to use a shield and any single handed weapon. Metal restriction is a problem though... unless magical. You could try going down the "guild" route and go Knight Warmage. Tim. |

1) Multiclass warrior to get the ability to use two weapons of shortsword length
Then:. 2) either: (a) Join Spellbound blades for the additional metal allowance (b) Write a "because I am a weapons using wizard my metal allowance is increased, but only for weapons, not armour" ability (c )Write a "because <insert justification> my weapons are made of bone they don't count towards metal allowance" ability (d) Make yourself a pair of magic shortswords, or buy them from someone else (e) Get a pair of bo-sticks and use them instead of swords. All of these have been used in the past - if you have the phys reps the bone weapon one is a good approach because (if the ability is properly written) they are also immune to magnetise, heat metal and suchlike. I think it cost me about 40 points, for a fae wizard m/classed Ranger. Lucy |

i say multiclass powermonger. Gives you E-skill and forearm parry!
then points app post powermonger that all skills related to daggers from MC now relate to short sword/broadsword and if you do as lucy says and stick a yellow paper in saying that your short swords "are" made of bone then forget spellbound blades. Powermonger then Points app your skill to short swords... |
