First thank you for all the views of Torrents on the boards, getting to see a spread of opinions opened up a few ideas and several possibilities on them. After looking at stuff my personal opinion is Torrents are ok stat wise, they do however create a couple of problems.
As a separate note we have looked at the suggestion of always taking 1 point a blow. However it has a lot of impact on some spells out there (Golden Golem, Svelts), so we will keep an eye on things and see how it goes.

First poor fighting. Fortunately we have a variable points system, so anyone that is being rubbish with them can have points taken away.

Second it is clear that some people see them as a "I'm immune to damage" power up when they are not. People using them need to be careful and pay attention to how much damage they are actually taking. It is very difficult to reduce damage to the point a torrent covers all of it. Just ignoring the blows and saying "I have a torrent" is cheating.

With that in mind some problems have come to light, and since all Torrents are points apps its easy to fix, which is below.

To note a "Torrent" is anything that means you get healing based on taking damage (most commonly 3/3).

- Torrents are now self only UNLESS specifically stated so, and signed/dated after this post.
- Abilities that let you cast self on other do not work with Torrents unless they specifically reference them. Old abilities will need to be counter signed by me.
- All torrents should have a restriction about going down if receives external healing. If they don't then bring them to me to get one added.
- Torrents can now heal a max of 3/3, they cannot be enhanced.
- If you have a Torrent that heals a different amount please bring it to me. It is likely it will be removed.
