I can't seem to fund these in the new rule books (stuff on what armour grants what AC, weapons / shield sizes et cetera)

Are they in the new books or just in the Basic Handbook?

Concerning armour, I picked this up from the make manual for blacksmiths...

AC1 Soft Leather Armour (heavy Clothing), Furs (Fur clothing), Padded cloth (minimum ½” thick)
AC2 Rigid Leather (Typical hard leather vambraces or greaves)
AC3 Studded Leather (substantial no of rivets, studs)
AC4 Reinforced leather, Light mail
AC5 Heavy Mail, Brigantine, Ring mail, Scale mail
AC6 Plate (solid one piece metal covering ¾ of the location or more)

It doesn't mention layering which I suspect is covered in the main manual and obviously mastercrafted for all is +2AC

Hope it assists you.

It's +1 AC for everything unless it's plate over chain, at which time it becomes +2 AC
