The Mordreds Rest City Day has now been split to cover 2 weekends.
The first day will be Sunday 5th October and will consist of: The No Max council Section - still to be reffed by Mark Cox (password remains the same) Max 1500 Section - awaiting a Referee If you are/were booked on to these original events on Saturday 11th (now set to cancelled to prevent further bookings) you will need to rebook. The 2nd day will remain on Saturday 11th October and will consist of: The Max 3000 - Referee Julian Wiffen MAx 250 - Referee Lucy Hewitt It MAY be possible for the thresholds of the 1500, 3000 & 250 to be flexed but only with the advance agreement of the Referee. -------------------- ... Many thanks to the CMT for being flexible and changing the date of two sections of the city day and thus minimalising the clash that was looming with the Polyapes 3 day.
This will allow more people to be involved in both events benefiting both. Zoe |

And the CMT strike back with another great compromise!

Awesome compromise Thanks to everyone for this I think this is a real shame that it has been split into two. Now not really a City Day is it just a couple of adventures. I thought the point of a city day was to give it a theme day feel where low lvls could meet high lvls the whole of the caves could be used. I think we did this on the Elbereth City Day and got really good feedback. Now due to a closed event (and yes I am sure if I was allowed to play it I would not be writing this point - but Im not so I am ;op ) it is making a city day into a couple of adventures which will probably end up like a random 2 length. A real shame especially as the City day had been in the diary for a good while now, I would have hoped those involved in the 3 day couold have if they wanted to do the 3 day done it another time so it did not clash. Couldn't agree more, couple of people whine enough and a perfectly good event is trashed.

It is not a city day anymore and as I have a character on the council I think it is a shame. I can see why it was moved as a compromise but the city day was booked first and it is annoying that it has been moved. I am probably just sulking as I cant play the council section now as it overlaps my holiday.

The Max 3000 - Referee Julian Wiffen MAx 250 - Referee Lucy Hewitt It MAY be possible for the thresholds of the 1500, 3000 & 250 to be flexed but only with the advance agreement of the Referee.[/size] Julian is it possible to increase the threshold for the max 3k dungeon? I would like a max 4k or higher so I can play Alendari - Alfar Warrior - Reeve to the Bastion and dedicated KOTL member. Thanks, Peter -------------------- Peter Smith

I would strongly suggest if you wish the thresholds to be amended that you EMAIL the referee concerned rather than assuming that they will read this thread... (this goes for me too. Just to re-itterate again. I will not take action anything I may happen to see posted on the boards.. nor on PMs. There is a tried and tested way to amend/make bookings which is to email the bookings line.. or phone if your pc really hates you.)
In this instance though, Julian has already said he is happy for the threshold to increase to say a max 5250 with enough notice, but it would only be polite to ask him.. Restating on the day is to be avoided when ever possible. The less stress on the Referees means the day should be more enjoyable for (nearly) all involved. -------------------- ... Restating on the day is to be avoided when ever possible. The less stress on the Referees means the day should be more enjoyable for (nearly) all involved. Go to say that if the threshold is almost doubled then I would probably want to book off since I wouldn't have an appropriate character. That said It's not really the event I thought it was going to be now either so will consider options anyways. Which is a shame since I was looking forward to it and Julians a very good ref.
