Great White Crab Ape Saved!

Sunny, legendary hero of the Dales has once again come to the rescue of the people, though this time the people are more crab-ape in shape and stature. It seems that the League of the Free have once again been up to their old tricks, raising innocent beings as undead and corrupting their souls. This time, the victims were the humble crab-apes. Sunny explained that the League had planned to use the Great White Crab Ape, shaman to all the crab ape people, as a focus for necromantic rites to kill them all in a great swathe and bind them as undead. Thankfully due his heroism and the spirits of Jamwise the Halfling the crab apes were freed and the Great White promised to try and keep them a little bit more in check in the future. He warned of the Great Black Crab Ape, apparently their wicked witchdoctor. Who really knows with crazy beasts like these!

Company of Iron Sign Up

After negotations lead by Spears Nym, of the 101st and Liara, of the 68th Penal, the Company of Iron, a held of primarily heavy wall has signed up to a long duration mercenary contract with the Bastion. Captain Tristan of the Company would like to thank Nym and Liara for their help, not only in this agreement, but in dealing with a grave infernal threat in the basement of the ruined tower in which they have established themselves. An infernal forge, dedicated to the sallow prince Aellyn Miserloe, lay in the lower chambers of the tower, forming a huge demonic rift and continuing to draw, trap and ensnare the souls of the dead. By all accounts our band of Torsland Heroes along with the Ambassador of House Despana, K'thah succeeded in freeing the souls of an old order of knights, a number of ancient smiths and many other souls trapped or forged into blades and armour.

Hippo-slayer Maxwell of Sorcha was there also and is said to have rededicated the cleansed forge to his mistress Sorcha, Dark Lady of War.

League of the Free Routed

Having ironically been enslaved by the spirit of Stynmort, self styled Prince of the Nameless Dead, the League of the Free were widely routed by the hero Tai of Talthar. He strode forward through the ruins of their tower, ghoul and skeletal soldiers fleeing in all directions. One of their leaders was even said to die from his own miracles, hurled back in glorious light by our conquering Lord Knight. With the aid of his new right hand Marrow, who replaces the absent Thalion, he even succeeded in destroying the obsidian golem that housed Stynmort's spirit. Apparently there was some minor incident involving a warded doorway but we don't concern ourselves with trivialities here. The glorious reign of the Torso of Talthar continues!
