If a Wayfinder or Spirit Warrior buys a priest status and gains spirits, does this work with Spiritual Choice to add to the innates chosen at the start of the day? Or do they gain spirits?
You don't gain raw spirits, but can use them for spiritual choice. Lee -------------------- Peter Smith

Why is E Class battle master so bad?
O class gives quin in O (can be bought at 450 points and useable with a shield) E class is 50 points less but quin in E is 280 points T11 post 6th Battle Master... Doesn’t add up! I'm not really sure what the quesiton is. If you don't think its worth it don't buy it. I know people have, and have had success with it. Lee -------------------- |

If a wizard enters the warrior bracket can they buy a tradition? I cant see anywhere that says they cant, I assume they would be able to pick the ones avaialble to the class they MC into, in my case Wizard MC Power Monger to 6th could therefore buy the Commoner, Monostaic or Sellsword as they buy as monk.
It might not be clear, they are like tendencies and 1st Class abilities. Lee |

Currently you can use ref points to buy Teaching scrolls and scriptures. Have EP users been brought into the fold and buy evocations in the same way?
Ta much No plans for this any time soon. Lee -------------------- Andy

Is it possible to confirm what applies in terms of learning new spells?
Casting levels - gained from guilds (Y/N) - gained from items (Y/N) - gained from temp power ups (Y/N) TBLP - Casting stamina (Y/N) - Temp Casting stamina or life, from spells or abilities (Y/N) - LTM - do you have to remain conscious to succeed? (Y/N) Thanks David Nice and easy: In general: Anything that isn't all times no. Proper items (so not once ever or similar) that are yours yes. Guild items/other peoples items you can use no. Casting level wise: Within thte above yes. Life: Casting stamina yes Temp life no live ot minus no, you need to stay concious. Broadly if it would be on your battleboard at the start of the dungeon, and then the start of the next dungeon it is probably ok. Lee |

Does the published ability "Mighty Rockskin" apply to a Lesser Earthen Warding (for 3 blows)?
If not, is it a reasonable upgrade to apply for as a non-standard? David Only rockskin spell, and depends on who and what they already have around lesser warding. Lee |

Lots of discussion on rages. I think there are 3 basic tiers of rage, being cold, calm and bezerk If you in a calm rage, can you leave combat? This is stated under War-Dancer very clearly that you can. However, there have been some non standards returned that say "still can't leave combat". Is the point that calm rages of 33% and less are generally one that you probably can leave and those over 33% are less likely? Do you need to just explicitly state / get clarity on non standard clam rages? Thanks David Since its a points app it depends what it says on it. If it says can't leave combat then it means it. As a base in a calm rage you can still cast freely, and choose your foes. The published version does let you leave combat and says so. Lee |

I have passed in various guises over the years "Calm Rages", I have never clarified on what they do beyond this as the published precedent on them was always Wardancer (I thought) which meant being able to act as you choose and they last 5 minutes or until you leave the fight...
My latest version of "Calm Rage" however has a line added of - "remember this is still a rage, can't leave combat etc." Have I been completely mistaken in what a Calm Rage is? Can I seek clarity on what it does... My thoughts were; Calm - Can act as you choose and leave the fight (you just aren't angry) Cold - Can cast offensively only, can't leave the fight and must appear to be angry Berserk - Can't cast at all, can't leave the fight, can't separate friend from foe (you're probably also roleplaying a fair disregard for your IC safety by this point) See above. On the rages you are right. In cold rage an dbaove you have to attack hostile oppenents. Lee |

Power Warriors have two bullet points regarding buying additional spells
"Power Warriors may buy further innates of any spell of their colour, which is given to them 1-8th at a cost of 12pts per mana point" Then "Power Warriors may buy spell innates of any other spells of their own colour at a cost of 12pts per mana point" Is this just left over from when they had to build up in ascending order, or is there meant to be a difference in costings based on whether it's in your base list or not? An old left over thing. Lee -------------------- Stevie Harper

Hi Lee
Question about 1/2 ogres; I have a very old one and when he was growing up in the 90s only got one warrior specialist skill at 7th; I think they now get 3 one at 6,7 and 8th is that correct? Owen (nee Trog) They did indeed change. Lee -------------------- Grisgriel, Standard Bearer of the Saintly Martial Order of Talthar

is against a bear who is dominated to kill all druids the druid tells the bear he is a druid with his talk to bears does the bear have to attack the druid or does neutrality trump Adam Neutrality means the bear can't attack you. Lee -------------------- Sleepy Sheepy - Long Live the Sheep

Jump, does it operate as per lightstep in that you can carry a person with you?
Broadly no. Some refs might let you in a cool way (jumping over a pit with someone) but you can't just grab someone and say "Jump" with them. Lee -------------------- Known to play Thalia, Kokachin, Faithful and Miranda Winterhaven

You asked me to post this here as you weren't sure when asked...
To cast Ivory Warrior and apply the published advocacy to each rune of the glyph do you need Rune Weaver also off the tables - Gut says yes but checking as some mixed opinions on it. Cheers Having read yes you do. Lee |

I'm sure it's completely obvious, but...
Using the spreadsheet to make battleboards, I accidentally put the wrong amount of stamina in. TBLP didn't go up, but oddly locs did, 120/44. Checked the warrior book and it only seems to be a cap on TBLP... Is life cap ~only~ TBLP, and locs can go above the traditional 1/3? Or is it still a hard locs-are-1/3, and the spreadsheet has a flaw? It's not clear. (another bit of after-my-time system change) Life cap is TBLP only. Lee |

Pass Unknown.
"It also prevents detection by mana sight and elemental sight, and other visual detections by creatures made of magic without minds" So, does this mean: a) Makes you immune to mana and elemental sight. Additionally, makes you immune to other visual detections by creatures made of magic without minds (e.g. an elemental with cryptic physical sight) Or Only for creatures made of magic without minds does it make you immune to mana, elemental and any other sights they might have. Cheers! Option A. Lee -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk

If for a scout class you multi class pathfinder, can you pick a previously chosen skill to get more of an ability? Eg choose athlete again as you only managed to get 2 jumps for your first class?
No, unless they are ones that you normally can take twice (so well equipts). Lee -------------------- Andy

Are ‘Disciplined’ (warrior ability) and ‘Discipline’ (scout ability) the same thing? They have slightly different wording, is that intentionally?
Thanks Andy Basically the same thing, just written at different times. Lee |

Couple of questions Lee.
Can you Act of Faith Chernobyl's lesser Force trap? Death blow requires the victim to be susceptible to the damage the death blow does. Would Justice of the Kings apply? Cheers. Tim. Yes, and yes. Lee |
