Hi all,
I have a 6th level Elysian Psychic/Mindweaver I started years ago and I’m now trying to think of something to make it useable.
A neuronic "power up other's" character came to mind, someone that’s all about helping others instead of themselves. In line with this I'd probably go with wealth and possibly item restriction similar to a paladin.

The low life coupled with 1/2 effect potions means I'll obviously need a neuronic ally effect that probably gives an additional pool of neural focii and some casting stamina per person.
Then I’d look to buy up more casting stamina/med abilities so I can hopefully give out reasonable amount of stuff during the day.
In an empath style I was also thinking of gaining minor boosts based on those around me and being able to copy party members immunities/resistances in some fashion for myself to help me survive being in a lowly 29/9 eventually.

As far as helping others I was thinking of giving out things like:
War cries, temp life boosts (maybe just casting stamina), damage reductions, DAC boosts, lucky ideas, single use neuromasteries, being able to give people around me temp copies of immunities/resistances (either my own or perhaps being able to "copy and paste" from one party member to another).

Haven’t decided whether to restrict myself to neuronic bracket in order to get better access to variety of existing neuronics (e.g. stuff from psi-master but again only castable on others) or perhaps go wizard down the line. I would probably however look to mimic certain spells as neuronic versions anyway.

I realise this is just a random bunch of ideas right now. I just wanted to sound people out on whether they think it would be worth attempting?

Thanks,
Richard

Multi-class Pure priest - job done...

Curing
Casting miracles on others to give power ups (warcry, temp life, damage reductions, DAC boosts etc - it covers everything you want to do

Yea I did consider going pure priest as its one of the few things mindweavers can actually multiclass to. It was just the 800 points for measly 30 spirits I found rather unappealing!

Think of it as a stepping stone - sure 800 points is a lot but you can then join a priest guild and do more adventures, buy some useful innates at a cheap cost (10 points a pop is very good). Get an angel to embody, MR something cool etc

Well equipped with potions could also work for you - especially if you intend to hand them out - a non-standard that mixes up healing and general potions maybe? Call it herb gardener or something - but it will never be as good as having total heal...

The major thing I really wanted to avoid was just ending up a poor man's healer and being expected to cast total heal just because I have goodly spirits.
I really wanted a character that is able to boost people in a different sort of way that doesn't rely on that.
Well maybe I'll play it up and see how far I can get with neuronics first and go from there.

Thanks for the ideas.

Go for neuronic empathic healing and buffs. Then find a Farfolk reed to roll with...
