I have returned form my Mercenary outing with the Frontline, and bring good news.
On this outing we enacted a Druidic rite of the Summer sun to Burn the pine forests that are encroaching on our City. This rite was enacted in a town called Mudrock, a root vegetable farming community near deci, This town is important because it is looked over by an old druid whos afinity with trees, has kept him and the people of Mudrock safe from the Pine warriors. This rite, should burn a portion of the Pine forests to ash, that will make the movement of the gnoll forces less easily to hide, and should allow troops to find them as they travel south from deci. On this mission, we recovered some letters between Cael'a'tan, the man incharge of the gnolls, and one of his acolytes. we learnt that Cael'a'tan was a Magiarch that sided with myron to save his own life, and that he has a number of acolytes that while they live, he cannot be killed. we believe there is 5 of them left, from information in these letters. they are also interesting, as he signed them "G" but i am not sure why. When we found one of his acolytes, they had been slain a little over 2 weeks ago, by a woman who all we know about her was that she wore fine shoes, not from the empire, and replaced him with a wax work simulcrum. we were unable to get any more information about her, or on her aims, as we were very limited on scrying powers. i will give copies of the letters if anyone wishes, as they include some information on the whereabouts of the other acolytes of Cael'a'tan, and what they are doing. Regis. -------------------- Grant.

Zhara, There isnt a copy of this rite, Druids are really bad at writing things down and keeping records of such things. what we did was gather 4 focuses, or artifacts of ritual significance to Creduin, and place them where laylines converge, we put 3 out in smaller glades around Mudrock, and a large focus in the village of mudrock, then called upon the power of Creduin and pleaded for him to burn the pine forests and turn them to ash. this is when beams of sunlight came down from the sky and started to burn the forests. this may sound vague, but it is what we did. there were no written instructions, or anything like that, just what we were told by our hire. We attained the focuses from a group of druids called Creduins fury in the Blidteve Highlands, but it appeared they had all fled or were all dead, and there was only a wax simulcrum there. there is something of a side note, if you find something refering the the Tir'Fel'El, that is what the myronese are calling the pine warriors. hope this helps, Regis -------------------- Grant.
