Dear all,

Well, I think I have caught up now on everything that has happened. Thank you Francis for keeping such good notes, it has been very helpful. I apologise for being a little bit distracted yesterday; to me, an inordinate amount of time has passed, even though it has been comparatively little in Primus. I am starting to feel much more comfortable here again, and that is largely thanks to all of you. I will not say that I missed you, as Heaven is such that you do not feel things in such a sense, but I am very glad to be amongst you again.

Really I am just opening the floor to people to discuss what we found and what it is best to do next. I have the Oath made by a Lady of House Bamael and will be communing about how we can best deal with it, if that seems sensible. I also have copies of all of the notes we recovered from the cellars of the other House, and will make those available. Would it be possible to keep a list somewhere (perhaps in Francis's notes) of the heads of the houses that we have successfully dealt with, please?

On an unrelated note. You will no doubt have noticed that I am not the warrior that I used to be. This form that I have been pulled back into is not designed for that, as the Lord has decided that - as well as releasing me of my Angelic vows so that I may live a life as you all do - my place is to be as His Voice and not as His Sword. As such I do not feel that it is appropriate for me to serve as His Champion, and have spoken to Lithmore about the fact that I will be standing down from this position. It is in his hands now as to whether another is appointed.

Anyway, let's start sorting out how we can cleanse this place.

In Sunlight,

Eliane Solmourn
Voice of Mortai

Thanks for your kind words Eliane. I will update the notes that I made, and will circulate them amongst the Church. I have made some initial study of the Lens that Ash so bravely obtained, and Arakil and I can confirm that the ritual chamber exploded and will take many months to rebuild. I believe the lens will strengthen the cradle further, and allow me to direct the power more effectively.

I insist that any scrying regarding the Higlands takes place from Arvaleth's Cradle, as had I not been there when I spoke to our Lord's Angels, I would have been struck dead. I do not want others to be at risk of this.

In due course I will have some suggestions regarding our next steps, but I must look more closely at the information we have gained before I can do this.

I am so very pleased to hear of your return Eliane - I look forward to meeting again for the first time.

I would like to apologise to you all for my absence over the last few months. I found my duties at the shrine took my full attention, and I found myself in some need of sime time in isolation to consider some personal events that took place recently.

I am glad to report, however, that my meditations are complete and I should be able to join you all in any missions going forward.

In service,
Harrison

May I ask what in particular was the subject of the scrying which brought the danger? Do we know the form that the retribution would have taken had we not been within the Cradle?

I am, it goes without saying, overjoyed that Eliane has returned. As a result of the bargain I made with our Lord, however, the village in which I have been living for the last decade or more, has lost its priest. I'd be grateful if those of a more itinerant nature could spare the time to look in there every now and then.

It was a question concerning the female aid to the lord of the house of Wax that we met before.
I saw some sort of thing appearing before hte light of the cradle destroyed it. I would assume that it was some sort of undead retribution.

Eliane, it brings much joy to me to have you with us once more.

Francis Burley, please take all the potions that were found and inform me what use you can make of them?

Francis Birch, thank you for keeping all the information on the Highlands together your note have been very helpful. Please provide copies of you updated notes as soon as you have had time to do so.

Matthew, could you speak to you friend and see what information he has?

Garath, It would be an honour to travel there.

Harrison, It will be good to have your company again.

I truly seek the full destruction of the House of Wax and we defiantly owe them. But I think we may be better trying to seek more names of other Houses and also more artefacts for the cradle. Francis what have you found out about the lenses?

Do we know who Charlotte Oleth is?? As freeing this family would please us all. Eliane please let us know any information you are able to gain from your prayers.

Also we need to decide what to do with the House of Chain as they are not undead and may assist us?? Although we must approach this carefully as we don’t know who holds power over them.

I will update my notes when I have some time to sit and concentrate - this should be this evening, all being well.

I now also have the names of the House of Whispers. They were given to me freely, but I feel it would be right to offer a gift to those that provided them. I will do so from Church funds - I should mentioned that I saw Harmony recently, who has gifted some further monies to the Church.

I suspect that Oleth's Folly is named after the mistake that Charlotte Oleth made in agreeing to this pact, and I have a feeling there is more to discover regarding that family. I should add that the undead who came to teh Cradle had two days peace, but since then something is trying to raise them, and only the Cradle is preventing it. We need to know more that we might offer their line true peace.

I have not had time to study the lens in depth, but will tell you when I know more. All I know is that it is used to focus and enhance ritual power from other sources. I am convinced this will be of great assistance.

We need to learn more than simply the names of our enemies. A means of discovering their weaknesses would be valuable - for example the shield I banished was an extremely potent protection. Being unaware of these protections puts us at a distinct disadvantage. Perhaps a means of scrying now that we have their true names?

The House of Chains should be freed from the pacts they have with Yllren, then they may be persuaded to assist us. Suggestions on this front would be appreciated. This could be of great help in fighting the other Houses.

Oh - the Reeve passed along to me the pay for our work on Sunsday. I will hand it to each of you when I next see you (if you are desperate for grulls, I am staying in the Cradle).

I will spend the day scrying about the Oath and also about the Oleth family - but as we do not have her complete name (e.g. the Shield of/Herald of/Sword of bit) I am not sure how useful this will be. But anything I can find out, I will pass on here.

Eliane,

That is appreciated, I've tried to add a few home comforts to the Cradle, as I too have been splitting my time between there, Death's Rest and Sellaville.

Please remember that not all of the rulers of the Houses are protected from scying, some have lots, some partial and others have no protection at all from scying. So it's worth trying, just that we should do so from the Cradle.

I would ask that if we have grulls to hand, replenishing the Church stocks of healing potions would be worthwhile, I am afraid I used rather alot!

I will also be spending time in the cradle although I have duties in Sellaville to attend to.
I intend to scry about all the houses names and weaknesses whilst there, I don’t want us to be unprepared if avoidable.

Also what if anything do we know of Yllren??

Eliane, please place my funds in the guild stores that any of the church should assess it if needed. Holy Water seems to be running slightly low!! smile.gif

May I inquire who provided the names of the House of Whispers? And if we could offer them information instead of funds? You know me!!

Does anyone have contacts that can supply us with healing potions??

I have already scried about all of the names of the leaders of the Houses, I have not yet done so in regard to their weaknesses/strengths.

It is a mercenary Reed of Farfolk who were recently in the north of the Highlands who provided the information. If I wanted to save money, I could do so as they didn't ask for anything in exchange - and I don't feel information on the Highlands will be of particular use to them. I'm not planning to give them a fortune, just a gesture of goodwill and friendship!

I know some people who can make healing potions, I'll chat to them and get a good price.

Good work on Sunsday everyone,

I will be staying in the Highlands for the forseeable future as I have duties to attend to. I plan to use the map and travel a bit more widely to the other Houses' lands and generally keep my ear to the ground. Scrying is good but you can't beat actually watching the buggers!

I will of course report back with any useful information and will ask my friends to share anything they have. This will obviously be a reciprocal arrangement - as it was on Sunsday.

Regards,

Matthew Mulberry

Dear all,

After spending yesterday in prayer I have discovered what we need to do regarding the Oath that Charlotte Oleth made. In its most simple terms, to put the undead to rest we need to sunder the pact; this is done by slaying the two people the pact was made between. Those two people are Charlotte Oleth and Duke Bamael.

Charlotte herself was actually a servant of Duke Bamael within Kesselharn. She was his mistress for a while and when people found out about this, the Duke made her swear an oath of servitude in recompense for the gossip. She and the Duke are now bound to the point that if she falls and he remains, then she will return - bound by the oath. The only way to deal with them is to slay him and then Charlotte. Charlotte, once free of the oath, can be dismissed with the name Charlotte Oleth.

I didn't find out how to deal with the Duke but I suspect that might be significantly harder.

Oleth's Folly is made up of the descendants of Charlotte who remain unable to find peace. Her son, Ashamel - who we met on Sunsday, he was the one who opened the tunnel entrance - is the bastard child of Charlotte and the Duke. He above all the others wants to undo the oaths that bind them but has no way in his own power; and being quite powerful compared to his relatives is often used as a servant by the Duke.

I will leave it to others to find out the whens and wheres of dealing with them. Undoubtedly Charlotte and the Duke will be together somewhere.

In Sunlight,

Eliane

I'm waiting to hear back from various sources with further information, but in the meantime, it occurs to me that we want to keep the Houses fighting while gradually weakening their power so as to prevent them from allying with one another and creating a united front against us.

I'd suggest that we look at one of the following as our next course of action:

Try to weaken the House of Wax
Attack the House of Sand, who are a threat to the people of Scathis Vale
Start trying to free the House of Chains from their pact with Yllren
Obtain further artefacts to strengthen the Cradle

I would suggest leaving the House of Ash for now, as they have been weakened by the loss of their ritual chamber and destruction of one of their number.

What do other people think?

Right, so, we decided to go after the House of Sand because they're killing innocent weak people yes?

What exactly are we doing? Do I need to ask Father?
