We have a lot of creative people at the caves who have written their own verbals, stories, poems, rituals, etc.
Share some of your favourites Even if you haven’t written them yourself, share some of your favourite prayers or lines you use often. I've seen some recently that inspired this thread so I know there are some very cool ones out there. -------------------- Stacey

Love this question. The stuff I’ve written is prose so possibly too long to put here. This could easily make a great sub forum though, for creative writing stuff to save for posterity?
Want me to ask Sam to pls set that up when he gets a chance? Sean |

Want me to ask Sam to pls set that up when he gets a chance? Sean I would be all over that forum. Love that idea. Could be stuff written OOC and IC. Not sure what the rules are for setting up a new forum but if permission is granted, I'll definitely support it. I found a notebook in Paul's 'stuff'. Its titled 'How to train your YP' made me grin over and over reading it through. Ha! That's pretty funny And potentially really handy to an aspiring YP ref 😉 -------------------- Stacey

As Stumbler I had a book "The 999 Rules of Redaip". No-one showed any interest. It was, of course, all the Grand Final Dawn info and collected papers.
Haruld's little book of notes. "But we dealt with him!" Haruld checks notes. "Nope we put it off...um... two years ago." "Ah....." Yorso's booklet of notes on Miracles. "Hey - Still Clouds.... you can work all these initials out from that booklet you have!" "You did bring it with you.... didn't you?" "Umm..... it's in the chariot?" "A pleasant walk in a Meadow, or How to be a Druid" Kurth's book with all the info on Sean's Tribal campaign in it. Haruld's book of the I Ching. "We must seek out the perilous library to discover the meanings of these strange triple lines!" "Or I could just look in my book?" Thorn's book on Norse Mythology. Led to "How did you know it was one of Thor's sons!?" and "So that's why they are killing his followers once they have taken the weapons out of their hands." and best of all "Hang on.... you're telling me the Thun and the Vikings are related??" Vourn nav Habdgerg's annotated spell book. "So your telling me that a cantrip will neither penetrate nor activate/take down a passive dispel? So you defeated that entire encounter with a passive dispel 1?!?" "Yup." Thorn and the Book of Heroes. "They've got it!!! They've stolen the Book of Heroes!!" "Nope.... they have some cardboard, a ripped black tabard, the container for a small candle (tea light) and a 10gp necklace that kind of "looks like" the Book of Heroes." Screams of anger down the path. |

Tim, your post reminds me.... we often see letters and diary entries set on dungeon by the bad guys. It'd be really cool to see something similar from a player, especially regarding a particular campaign — like you said, you have some info and documents from various ones.
Love the Norse Mythology! -------------------- Stacey

I remember Stumbler's journal write ups as part of old guild directories. Used to love those!
Font suppose you've got them stored anywhere still Tim? |

All set up thx to Sam's wizardry, I've posted a few short tales to highlight where the sub forum is! Be great to see some more stuff posted there, either laby specific lore etc or just a place to share some creative stuff. Cheers, Sean |

I had a spell book as Jonas where I
had hand written every published glyph in mana glyphs in chapters depending on colour.... also all my non standards - was a lengthy job I have a prayer book as Requiem where I have transcribed a number of Creator Faith short stories that Stuart originally wrote (on a computer and printed to an IC format) it runs to a couple of hundred pages I have written a number of essays as Jonas on mystical subjects (and then tend to get points requests on them - like an MA and PhD in the illusionary armour glyph Currently writing a new spell book and book of rituals for Jonas - this time I think in English!!! -------------------- |

Rob, I love that you have points apps off your essays, that's brilliant.
I've had a couple of characters that are bookworms or librarians etc but never really did anything with it besides a bit of roleplay. But with the new forum and if people are willing to share IC stuff, it could be quite fun to incorporate other people's things into character roleplay... As Nala, hugely passionate about the North's culture, I wanted to write regular stories and have them posted up on the guild boards but when they were taken down, I kinda lost the desire. But with this new forum, seeing other people doing similar things, hopefully it will inspire me to do it -------------------- Stacey

When I was a young player Tim and Paul ran an overarching campaign for about 2 years, and we had a book that one player took on every dungeon and wrote down what transpired from their characters point of view. My favourite page was written by a player who doesn't really come down anymore, as his ogre. It was a stickman depiction of all the events of the day, with himself always being drawn with a big tummy.

Rebecca wrote a really good story for a Knights of the Land 2day a few years back called the Siege of Mordred's Rest, can be found on the forums here: http://www.labyrinthe.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=29039
I am not sure if Sam can copy if over in to the new Creative Corner forum? -------------------- Rich

This was one of the very best Myths moments ever. And Dakkon Darkblade - a baddie who straddled more than one event.
