If you are not playing soon, then wait as there is a whole load of published warrior stuff including classes and races coming with the new books.

Immunity to Bruising only applies to your AC. so normally a maximum of immune to double. Which basically means its worth getting it as soon as possible.

There's quite a helpful recent thread here about warrior immunites here: http://www.labyrinthe.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=25435

But my advice copied from that is

In a 1500 (non myths) spend I would go for:

TOD/Suspend Life - 50 points
Causing - 50points
Spirit Bolt - 30points
Pain - 50 points
Avenging Spirit - 50 points (ASAP if you can do spirit damage)
Fire - 100 points
Poison - 140 points.

By the time you hitting 3k would probably want to pick up some more, would involve making a decision on if to buy determination or not to deal with stopping effects. Or if going to go war cry route or mix of immunities and warcries.
Next batch would be:

Fortitude - 125 points
Resistance to sever/loc to zero - 150 points
Foul Touch - 50 points
Disease - 100
Level Drain - 100
Black - 125
Wither - 80 points
Blast effects - 100
Either MAC or 1/2 effect Blue & Brown
Some resistance or immunity to neuronics.
Count as 7th - When you have multiclassed a couple of times
Imm to Spiritual Mastery or Domination effects in some form, or some resistance levels

List then just goes on and on!

My god, I really am old school... in my day TOD and A. spirit and a warcry or two would do you up to about 5K! OK, food for thought.

Thanks,

Matt

I really don't think you need all these

Blast effects? Not for ages.
Buy resistance levels over immunity to sp.mastery as you will get good value

Yeah they are all really important and they are what refs are currently using and setting!

Resistances are dull, better off getting something that gives you a broad immunity a couple of times a day.

Unfortunately if you really want to be a good warrior as it currently stands you're better of either being/becoming a wizard or priest. Having some power points makes you loads more versatile and able to do encounters. and you can have better power ups that way.

Interesting thread, I have been away from the caves for a few years and it's interesting to see what is doable nowadays and such. I have a duellist I was contemplating playing again and it's interesting to see what people feel are required as a warrior class to be the basics for adventuring nowadays.

Any idea when the new published stuff is coming? I may just play some new characters til the before I drag out older characters

At what level?
A warrior shouldn't need to spend 1/2 their points on immunities to do their job. I'd rather buy fun stuff and take my chances

Naga is about 1/3 on Immunities( I have saved by being spirit only) But we are still talking 5k on immunities ,1/3 Warrior and 1/3rd priest

Mew my monk - is less but then I am already a massive way ahead

If I started a new warrior I would go about 50/50 or Leave the bracket and go wizard or priest.

Heh, interesting thought. These things seem to go in fashions, mostly depending on how the current GSM sees the game and also what's not worked so well in the recent past. To be honest I play so rarely that the current trend towards dual bracket classes over
bracket pure characters will most likely be over by the time I achieve another 1000pts, especially because I tend to enjoy playing lots of different
characters and am not really into the system post 5k ish (high hit systems not really my thing).

I guess I might as well just ignore fashions and play what I want.
