THNKS Primal Forge is the retail arm of the Club Management Team, they stock all sorts of LRP goodies from various suppliers. The end of year event for 2008 however resulted in a cataclysm which, unless you were on the dungeon, destroyed everything utterly, effectively resetting the game system. Characters now have to reach level 12 before starting on the points tables, there are no full immunities any more, only resistances which are 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 for each, potion phys reps are now 500ml per dose, theres too many changes to list. Dwarves and halflings are no longer available, but there are lizard men and elementals as playable races. Class wise there are only fighters, clerics, acrobats, druids and nookas until the expansion booklet comes out in March. The new ruleset is available in 5 booklets, one for each class, all cost 8 quid. Hope that helps and hope to see you soon!! Simon |

THNKS To answer one at a time: a) Labyrinthe *was* owned by Simon Morgan (who also owns Eldritch), but for the last couple of years it has been under new management. The new managers (generally known as the CMT) also own Primal Forge, which distributes LRP kit and suchlike from various suppliers. b ) The rulebooks have not been changed recently (aside from the scout book) - there are rumours that they are all going to be revised and released together at some point, but no date has been announced. c) Ninja no longer exist. If you have one you can have him replaced by an oriental scout with the new ninja tendency. There are two versions of this, one magical, one neuronic. Talk to the desk to get that done. d) You can use your old characters - I don't think there has ever been a time when you couldn't, though if they break current rules you may have to loose/respend some abilities. Does that help? Lucy |

lol.. and we all ignore Simon when he's in this sort of mood.. stirer
Nice idea though Simon.. We might have to have to have a 'Cataclysm' at some point during the year... though we'll leave you all guessing as to when. If the last time you were down was with in the last 3 years then not much has changed. The current hand book is available as a down load on this website. The Orange book is the EnGuard which is the warriors supliment and is still valid. If you have a valid character card then it would normally still be playable should the class have been removed, unless the CMT / GSM decide otherwise, but then they would normally give notice advising players of this. You might want to have a look through the Announcement Section for the GSM Clarifications threads Although Lucy seems to have covered eveything nicely... Rach -------------------- ... To answer a specific question on Ninja by expanding on what Lucy said:
You can continue to play the old style Ninja if you so wish IF you can provide an old rules supplement so that a referee can see the abilities of the old Ninja as its no longer in print. 1st Class Scout Subclasses can buy abilities that give them "flavours" of development ()a bit like Wizardly colours, or Priestyl Spheres if you are familiar with spheres). These flavours are called Tendencies Ninja is a form of tendency avaliable only to Oriental Assassins. As Lucy has already explained there are two types: (A) Neuronic - which basically relies on "Neuromastery" to achieve everything that the Old Ninja used to achieve. ( Magical - which allows Ninja to have 12 mana's worth of innates to duplicate what the Old Ninja used to achieve. Personally I think the new system for Ninja is better. The old hallmark "No Max Damge 1st Strike ability" Ninja have has been removed from the system to bring them in line with Assassins in general. We might have to have to have a 'Cataclysm' Call it a Chaos Storm and have it destroy everything that doesn't have an Amora stamp on it. That way I can finally use my invis potions. J -------------------- No of course I won't ref. Are you mad?
