I wondered if anyones considered caves vouchers ie 5£, £10, £20 that you or someone could buy you from the caves desk for birthdays , occasions. Even offering e vouchers on the website. I think due to the fact that the young players are more numerous and getting to a wider audience this would be ideal for relatives, friends etc to give them for presents.

Are you suggesting just Labby or would you be able to buy things from PrimalForge with them?

Good idea, although there would be quite a lot of clarification needed for what you can and can't buy.

Not really - just have a voucher which says "this is worth £XXX off the value of a Labyrinthe LRP event".

A bigger issue is probably forgery - getting something that it would be difficult to fake might be an issue.

They did use to do vouchers about a year and a bit ago - my mum came down and bought me some for my 25th birthday, which was a little odd!

If you are thinking of Kit, glows stick, flare or Snaz then they would be Primal Forge vouchers and there are alot of things that the CMT would need to think about to make it work: Security, fraud, terms and conditions of use etc. Laby vouchers just for use on adventures should be easier to police as it were, but still alot of ins and outs to think about.

I think it would be a popular idea, I would certainly buy vouchers for people's birthday presents or Christmas presents, but it depends on if the set up of these things isn't overwelmingly time consuming and costly for the CMT and the business.

I don't see why Primal Forge couldn't have its own vouchers. The CMT could liase with the other non caves traders that are on the site about this as everybody would benefit. The caves could have their own vouchers for just paying for games, maybe rule books aswell. Their are printers who specialise in this sort of vouchers . Yeah it might take a little time , but I think it would encourage more younger players who maybe have little money to get a game in (from presents , Christmas etc), infact I think if you promoted it , the caves could make a killing during the school holidays with them. Also it would give reluctant relatives who don't like giving money for prezzies something to give you that you really want.
I think it would just be another easy avenue for more people to enjoy the caves experience .

Well actually a voucher is just cash in a different form. As the caves buys stock from these people then sells it on it does not need to concern these people.

I think this is a good idea and no doubt they will see it and have a think. It would need a little bit of working out to use them online etc, but they can be simply numbered and checked.

We should probably leave at that rather than telling the CMT how to run their business. The idea is a good one and let them work out the rest. They will ask if they need help.

We've done them before on an ad-hoc, one off basis. We can and will look at it again shortly.

For Primal Forge we have a long list of developments we are looking for over the coming months, including online vouchers.

Has there been an update on this.. as xmas draws closer and many of my parents... ok my mum and my mother in law would like to know what Steph and I want for xmas..

It would be great to receive Labyrinthe Vouchers.. they seem to think that a voucher is a better gift than just money..

I think its a good idea, I know a few others do to, ok it is a little bit of hassel, however barcode readers only cost about £60, and then its just a database.. for the time being you could just have them used at the caves..

You don't really need barcode readers even. Just a simple numbering system, when one is used, you look at your list, put a tick for 'used' and the persons name who used it. If you really wanted to be a little more secure, use the company stamp, I can't see anyone seeing it as worthwhile to go and purchase a company seal or stamp ! (especially as you know who used the voucher as you've just written their name on the list when they hand it in).

It's a good idea.
