Hi there all,

I had a conversation with CMT with regard to my worries about higher level dungeons. By higher I mean 3K+

I noticed that open dungeons at this level had become a rarity. For example, the max 7.5K was cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to lack of players. I know that I did not book onto it because it did not have a ref. I believe that the open system is essential to prevent exclusive groups forming within the system and facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between people who may not otherwise have much of a reason to talk to each other.

I noted that I was privilged to know many people who could ref for me but others who are maybe newer or less forthright (I think that is the polite way of saying gobby) than myself may not be able to procure refs in the same way.

From the refs point of view, I know that I would prefer to be asked to ref by those involved personally but I was led to think, 'Well, how could they ask if I have not indicated that I am open to the suggestion.'

We came up with the idea of a forum whereby people who were interested in playing or reffing could communicate but I understand that this may not be the best way to sort the problem.

Many heads are better than one so I wondered if you might answer the following questions. A consultation if you like.

1) Would you like to see more 3K + open dungeons?

2) What suggestions do you have to encourage more open dungeons?

3) What do you think of having a list of refs with their pm's so that they can be contacted personally with reffing requests?

4) Would you agree to being put on such a list?

5) What do you think of pairing certain events such that booking onto one would be reliant on your committing to being involved in the sister event as crew in some form? ( I understand that it is not ALWAYS possible to commit to two things t the same time but I would envision having 8-10 spaces available to those involved in the sister event and the other slots as 'guests'.)

Please feel free to reply without prejudice. This is in the spirit of improving further the good work done by CMT so far.

And it is Friday smile.gif

Yes

2) What suggestions do you have to encourage more open dungeons?

Personnally, I will only book on to high level dungeons if there is already a ref booked.
As i see that as the most important thing especially at high level.

3) What do you think of having a list of refs with their pm's so that they can be contacted personally with reffing requests?

It would be good to know who is happy to ref and at what level because i would never of thought to ask you to ref high level stuff!

4) Would you agree to being put on such a list?

Let me ref a couple of lows first! lol

5) What do you think of pairing certain events such that booking onto one would be reliant on your committing to being involved in the sister event as crew in some form? I think its a great idea but as a monster why ref high level dungeons when i can monster lows? There just isnt enought insentive. Also you have the few people that just refuse to staff at all!

Just my thoughts.
