Obviously I would advise checking a lot of stuff with Alan but I do have a lot of the information on the Drachyul that I can provide and maybe some of my apps can become standard.

Yep lots of Ggrutuck stuff, things to do with Uk, etc. - I'm sure Paul & I can knock up a "ggrutuck state of play" piece of spiel if that'd suit?

Likewise the Blauz Shining Rael stuff and the colony of goodly Blauz
And Ritter Drachyul should definately be less totally awful. It should be standardly possible to play Baronial witches, because despite the book mentioning them constantly, it isn't. C |

It would be good to see published/standard life scales, classes for races like the Hurdle and others mentioned in the Dominion book that currently aren't playable without YP. And possibly some form of Baronies Beggar like the Klosterkinder?

It would be great to see the stuff Giles did about the history of Eva Wyvett - Veil go in and about the Order of the Torn Veil. Some very rich background stuff IMHO.

My 'feeling' is that the Baronies book is very cool - flavour wise - and has a distinct atmosphere and background to it. However I remain unconvinced about the viability of many of the playable classes and races. I *think* this is supported in the amount of people that play them, although obviously other people are in a better place to judge.
I know that there are notable exceptions / examples, but still comparatively I think they are on the low side, or only tend to be playing 'in their own groups'. My feeling for the book is that it needs a whole lot more LRP stats to back up the really rather lovely deep feel of the book. That will make more people play the stuff in it, and thus read the book / care about it more. CC |

I'd like to see the rules on Baronials in guilds relaxed a little as well
Especially for non-circle people, as they cant join guilds and get no circle benefits to make up for it -------------------- |

The other thing worth mentioning is that the baronies book has nothing mentioning the sunless or any of the developments down south in the last X years. Having some spiel on those would be cool, as would being able to play nasties from the Spiter's side - flesh crafted things, etc.

I think Alan Morgan said he was prepared to make the Sunless map available - which would be a nice inclusion I think?

Yes the map that Alan gave us was blank in the middle. people all then got given the reference of where to mark places. The whole point is that we dont know what within the sunless. However not sure people have ever updated it.

CC Couldn't agree more with this - the Baronial book is my favourite of all the sourcebooks but the stats (unless you're a circle psychic or a ggrutuck warrior) are really poor. Its always confused me how the Ritter Drachyul fought the demons with any degree of success (bit like the Athfanel and the ishmaics, really). C |

I know I've banged on about it before, but any chance we can get this sourcebook updated?
It's never had a reprint AFAIK, and is very very out of date. Along with some other sourcebook updates of course. -------------------- |
