Right then, who is on this? I know that Clayton and Stuart Maggs are playing it as Hector and Essaran respectively...and possibly Becca as Boo and Andy W as Asta. Anyone else?

I am contemplating my bank balance and considering it, though I don't know the site.

Matt

Posted by: dnsmantra Aug 2 2010, 02:32 PM

I'm not currently on it, but am seriously considering it.

Huw

I'm on it and it's going to be great. The two points aren't connected though.

<Starts writing another perm death song....>

Im not booked on and have no holiday left. If my bank balance survives myths, I may well do the weekend. We'll see.

Carlo

Posted by: Christine Aug 2 2010, 03:02 PM

Well, you can of course achieve that by being the one who perms him smile.gif There can be only one!

I am booked on as a very grumpy Falorn, and most likely will be doing my appearing and disappearing thing to ensure the baby doesn't do anything awful to Giles in my absence.

Matt

My playing is wholly dependant upon my ability to pay off the 3 day I paid earlier this year. I don't want to try and play another extended length when I still owe the caves money.

I will of course definitely monster if I can't play. It would just be nice to get to play for once!

Posted by: JEB Aug 2 2010, 07:32 PM

Both myself and Phil are on it playing Jerico and Mattie - not disappearing off this time, so all good this end:-)

Jo.xx

Posted by: Gordon Aug 2 2010, 08:12 PM

I will be doing all I can to join the masses on this I feel. I certainly have the leave and probably the credits so it'll just be finding the cash.

We might even be able to persuade Andrea to play Janie too which in itself would be awesome.

Posted by: TimTreadwell Aug 2 2010, 08:38 PM

I'll be checking my duty rota.... and putting in points apps..... and even then I'll only be doing the day sections.

Hopefully....

Tim.

Posted by: dnsmantra Aug 2 2010, 11:37 PM

Hmm, this seems to have gone from 8 players to full (14) in half a day; and there was me waiting until I could get to the caves to pay deposits. Sad face. Any chance of opening another couple of spaces?

Well I had such a great time this weekend I am even considering one last venture before the winter gets going.

Like Tim though I think I need to sort out a mechanism of doing events with you all as I'm now passed the threshold to do normal adventures.

Any advice welcome! rolleyes.gif

I would also be happy to share the Tim spot as I could do evenings, ie Friday, Saturday night and I guess Sunday morning, not sure how it would work, but happy to job share with the old fella (from an old fella).

Cheers

I'll speak to Jo about spaces for it and see what can be done. There are some options for it.
However any sort of option would revolve around getting 6 good monsters in place before anything changes.
I'm not sure what bed spaces are like at the site either, having only been there once.

Lee

If bed spaces are an issue, I'm not intending to be sleeping at the site.

He did indeed do the above for starters then a "whole" lot more.
Jointly my slackness, his circumstance etc he/i didnt book him on.
However a little bird told me that he will be attending and its all sorted.

For those players that dont know the characters we play its Horace and Hector to Palys one militant the other definately not.Brothers.Both around 2.25k ish.
Cannot wait for this ...proper 'cited now.

Hi everyone,

Having spoken to Lee and looking at the boards, we are looking at getting 2-3 parties running on this 3-day (which would be fantastic) however the only stipulation is getting enough monsters to be able to cope with this.

I have opened up an 18th space for the 3-day already (2 parties of 9). If we can get 7 monsters then we are basically there for opening up more spaces to make it 3 parties:-)

If we do end up getting the amount of monsters needed and open up the spaces then it may mean that some of us get to sleep on the floor at some point (which I am quite happy to do).

I think that this would be a fab end to a long campaign and deserving of Lee's hardwork and commintment that he has done for us:-)

Oooh Oooh, can we pick teams, just like being at school?

Also I got the impression that there was more since the 22nd was supposed to be a link event between the 4 day and the 3 day.... one can hope?

Anyway I'm on the 3 day if anyone wants to ick me in their team. I will likely have some more toys for everyone by then. And a big fluffy toy for Falorn.

Cheers and looking forward to it myself!

We'll perhaps start with

Martin - He-Man (well the Versey equivalent)
Bradley - defo Shaggy of Scooby Do
Essaran - Dogtanian
Mattie - sorry to say probably Thelma , its the thing with book see
Thomas and Falorn - Yogi Bear and Boo Boo

Right should probably go play golf now before the Wrath of the Lords start flying

Posted by: JEB Aug 20 2010, 04:08 PM

Have had a bit of a think and............

Zhara - Wilma Flintstone
Jerico - Marvin the Martian
Esseran - Dogtanian
Eldias - Stewie (Family Guy)
Basil - Stressed Eric
Thomas and Falorn - Yogi and Boo Boo
Owen - Elmer Fudd
Tanis - Dori (Finding Nemo)
Croch - Penfold
Hersce - Dangermouse
Ignatius - Droopy Dog
Martin - He-Man (or Top Cat)
Grit - Scrappy Doo
Asta - Batfink
Bradley - Shaggy
Aurora - Taz
Lament - Huckleberry Hound
Joshua - Chick Hicks (Disney Cars)
Light of the Void - Jerry (Tom and Jerry)

I think maybe Yosomite Sam for Jerico. I couldn't really think of anything better for Basil though, although if you have never seen stressed Eric it is worth a look:-)

Hi Jo ,

To make sure we get to the full numbers that makes this a real swinging 3 day , can we use the odd guest to bulk it out if we don't fill all 6 spaces with LOTS types . I recall Jasper being vaguely interested as "Please god anything other than Sunshine" for the last one before some train tunnel distracted him

Cheers

P.S. Speaking personally, I'd like to avoid guests unless they really make sense. This is, hopefully, going to be the culmination of years of LOTS plot - might feel a bit weird to have Mr Random along for the ride.

Posted by: pillers Aug 31 2010, 12:51 PM

Good point , I'd forgotten that tbh . Redders as Tear is a poss actually , he's done guild specials in the past (with only a slightly dubious qualification). Just randomly throwing names out of people who have done previous stuff . If it was 100% LOTS completely on side with that , no matter what level or class, just covering bases in case it doesn't fill to the brim.

I'd really like another scout.

I'm fed up of being the only scout the best of times, let alone the only one across 3 parties. It just means I have to deal with the 700 tblp traps.

I may well buy an ability to radiate read languages and disarm traps :-)

Carlo old chap

Comments like "I'd really like another scout" get you on all sorts of lists and everything .

I suppose we could try and see if Regal was available

You might be better with chopping Carlo in 2 or 3

I know I'd rather have 1/2 a Carlo

I could use my 10k gift to enter the scout bracket to keep you company. I have been known to stalk terrapins before.

I'm not convinced that random non-LotS people would be a good thing on the culmination of a very long Elberethian campaign.

And Carlo, stop moaning!

But Carlo you are usually the best of our scouts! (Oh.... I see your point.)

From an "in character" point of view I'd like to stick with the LotS. I'd hate to have to shoot a player character (again). And to be honest I'd likely have to shoot them to put them out of their misery whilst Jericho is ultra-incinerating their mortal and spiritual form. Besides.... why have an alternative whipping boy when we have an Ignatious!?

Out of character it might be nice to have someone come along and be horrified at our attitude.

Tim.

I'd prefer it to be all Lots/similar because it fits, and lets be honesy IC are you going to invite people from outside the chruch to go and off someone Hylos?

If you want guests then I won't say no, but I'd suggest thinking about them and how they are tied to the guild.

Personally I feel a bit of a gate crasher having arrived at the end and I have a long history in the guild. I would therefore like to keep with LOTS plus iggy the mascot.

What you guys and guyesses have built up to is a very person to the faith.

As a confirmation to those on the 3 day all of herse's guild radiated benefits are now mantic in nature so fully benefitting elves. I can also keep tabs on aurora who kept trying to hide on the 4 day.

This does not apply to the immune to fear anf human life but all the other stuff is mantic - no effetcs, life , avenging spirit etc.

Should falorn or basil be away at any stage then one pc will have additional protections which can be sorted at the time and lee will arbitrate that aspect.

Otherwise all as before. If I cast a miracle on any of the guild that is also mantic.

Cheers and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Well quite aart from the benefit of my wit and repartis you get the following:

Human allies get:

+6 TBLP / +3 per loc (stacks with life below if appropriate, ie is a human in LOTS guild)

Everyone not evil with a spirit gets:

Immunity to fear if can see Hersce and shout his name, ie you can choose to be immune and can still run away from the Balrog if you want to.

All LOTS guild people (the professional church guild) get:

+18 TBLP / +6 per loc (now a mantic ability - white mana if it matters to anyone)
Fortified spirit twice! (now mantic etc etc)
1 x no effect per day (this is now a mantic no effect)
Avenging spirit on slayer if killed by any of 1) unarmed combat; 2) range attacks; 3) whilst helpless & 4) from behind (also a mantic effect now)
I know where all LOTS are and there status, ie wounds and how when they die etc - I think this is similar to the true kin ability, but with a some extra knobs on.

One character (Lee's choice - I have sent him details) may also get the following depending upon whether Basil and / or Falorn are present at any one time:

3 x killing blow taken by me
Whenever unconscious shift to me if within 100 yards (no metric measurements for us oldies)

Cheers

Yup sorry about that chaps(esses), but the guiding principal back in the day was to help the little fellas and ladies. No idea how people get to their life caps anyway as I'm no where near myself!

The new addition is to help the elves feel part of the team as they're alwasy being down trodden and inferior in outlook.

Cheers

How will this work then on a multi party three day?Is my assumption that you need to be in the Hersce mini~party to be gain the above ?

Posted by: pillers Sep 6 2010, 05:12 PM

Ooo , thats a cracker , a Pillers perspective would suggest that things that are angel based ( like the No effect , avenging spirit etc) follow you around if you've mustered with Hersce . However the "He is but a simple monk" stuff i.e. as described affects his mini party and would only be relevant if he's in reasonable range (100 yards per earlier is a perfectly decent measure of distance) still thats just me guessing

You need to be with him for the immunity to fear, likewise for the take killing blows.
The life and other stuff you get at all times.

The abilities say priest but MCC said that the modern equivalent was membership of the "+(4 professional guild.

so if you're in the guild you get them. Just look at iggy!

Phil's pitiful abilities (+24/9 life? PAH! Mantic no effect? HAH!) now pale in comparison with my awesome radiating of:

Once per day, if you are mark allied by me, you get a 5 minute complete immunity to insanity, activated as warcry.

Phear me.

Is it a mantic no effect vs evil? Or do I have to WOtL Iggy twice? smile.gif
