My friends,

Firstly I send my best wishes and tidings of good luck for your travels this coming weekend. I sincerely hope you are successful in what you seek to achieve and that you all return home safely.

I have put in place a number of measures that will assist you. Although it would be unwise for a variety of reasons for me to intercede directly with assistance I have organised a number of my acolytes and ritualists of a morality inoffensive to any of you to assist you wherever possible. They are at your disposal and The Circle understand the need to stop the creation of dangerous powerful semi divine beings of darkness.

I would imagine use of gnomes to contact my allies at my tower in Coris Mount would be best however if I can get one of my colleagues to visit you then potentially one of you could establish some sort of psychic contact?

I am sure they can assist you with advice on rituals and potentially with ritual strikes, transportation or similar. Use your imagination, I like to see my people challenged once in a while...

If Christian's rituals take you to The Baronies my name should be enough to allow you to by pass any of my colleagues you encounter. If I have time I will send a letter from me with an elemental to show any guards.

On that note I BEG that if you do travel to The Baronies, those of you have chosen to destroy all evil regardless of their intentions do not come. I am not trying to spark a debate, I seek to protect people I care about and people essential for the survival of my land and whom I am sworn to protect. I would take this as a personal favour and the only 'payment' I require for my help here. I think the assistance I have given the church over the years allows my the right to ask this.

This takes me to my second issue - I have been putting off writing this for a few days.

Sadly as of today (bar the above) I am severing my ties to your church. I was sent by The Seven maybe a decade ago? To witness the great battle between your faith and that of the One Eyed one. Since then I have spent much time with you, with your people and in your temples. I have seen many great, wonderous and beautiful things. I am without doubt improved as an individual for these experiences. I have made friends that I hope will continue to be friends long in to the future.

Recent events have brought certain issues in to focus. As much as I like and respect them I will never understand the religious stance of some of you. I have asked Basil to help me understand but as yet he has not been able to help. I really don't think he has the answers. The murder of a man I have never met and would probably not like very much has strangely tipped the balance for me. I make no judgement about those events at all - they just allowed me to see clearly.

I can see situations where members of the faith of TLotS (or Mortai or others) will clash with people of my lands. I can even see people intentionally causing trouble by using my dark hearted colleagues against your or I. I will be honest, I believe I would take the side of my nation and my people and that was an important realisation. The black and white thinking of Thomas and those with similar beliefs has no place in The South. Every dark hearted member of The Circle murdered is another village destroyed or demon allowed to pass in to our land, the effects of their death felt long after you have wandered back North to your temples. I won't get in to a religious or moral debate about it, I am not saying I like evil and would not choose a world of light if it was a realistic proposition and I know from long experience the pointlessness of disagreeing with some of you. I just understand we live in a different land than that of Glass.

This is not an attack on any individual, I mean no-one any harm, as I have said I have not met any member of the faith that I do not like, respect and would not have given my life for. (Just checked - still have my ivory mana...) I seek only to protect The Baronies - as is my responsibility. I shall treasure my hat.

So once again, good luck, be safe and do not hesitate to contact me or my acolytes for aid if you need it.
