Results from last Starsday Options

Members of the Faithful,

I have included below the results of what proved a most challenging mustering of the faithful - difficult in both purpose and content - given we visited a place once hallowed to Michael which has been corrupted and twisted - none more so than one of our (and Primus's) great heros of light. Commedations go out to the scarce number of faithful able to attend - to Justin for his knowlegde, experience and strength in the belief of Lord Michael, to Faloren - although new to Michael's calling for showing determination, bravery and courage. I would also like to thank Gimly and Willock - though not of the faith for assisting us in what we attempted to achieve - both of whom risked everything to aid our faith, which should not go unrewarded - Willock's skills as a seeker, and his mastery of arcane lore prooved time and again of much help. Without Gimly's sword arm and resolve to never give up the fight regardless of personal cost, we would never have been able to rescue the Vivedagg.

"They arrived back at the Stand fearing leaving The Land would hinder the opportunity to resurrect the fallen. The five that had left had returned as six. But the immediate news was not good. The Lord Knight, Cardinal, Saint had fallen offering up his own life to buy the others time to take the broken corpse of Gimly, and the tortured Vivedagg away from the place.

His sacrifice has caused the corrupt remnant of Saladin to be reduced to a pillar of Fire, a living pillar of fire though.

Justin had ensured that Robert returned quickly from death, and so in turn Gimly was brought back to the living realm.

The creature they had rescued appeared the most retched, his eyes seemingly torn from their sockets, and where his tongue should have been was nothing but a withered stump swamped in flowing blood the colour and consistency of pure honey.

The healers present could do nothing to ease the suffering of the creature which was helped to the Imrazilian Shrine to rest.



They slept.



The next morning, after checking on Vivedagg, brought contemplative prayers from Robert as he sought wisdom knowledge and insight from his Lord.

It seemed that the they were too late to save the villagers of Reeves Death, though Saint Michael made it quite clear that the residents of that place had long fallen from the path of redemption or even salvation, though that was a different story, for another time.



The Decayed Land ritual and the associated Plague had been cleansed by the Flood of Purity that Robert had performed at the ritual site. It was certain from the words heard there that it would be a rather expansive issue to perform such again, and certainly no quick thing.

The wounds were of Ritual significance and certainly for the moment could not be healed or restored in anyway.

Taking these things from Vivedagg had diminished his spark in some way, and would be used in matters diabolic for certain, but the creature still lived and to take the creatures total power had obviously been the Dark Summoners aim.

The future would no doubt reveal to what use the trophies gained would be put to. "
