Labyrinthe Forum _ The Enclave _ Guild Special

Posted by: Kirsty Feb 28 2010, 10:42 PM

Just a reminder that there is an unbalanced Enclave and Arcanum guild special on Sunday 21st March that still has 5 spots left.

Posted by: BBB Mar 3 2010, 11:16 AM

Who's playing this?

Trying to decide what to play, have a slight hankering to play Yvanderriel.

BBB

Posted by: Kirsty Mar 3 2010, 06:13 PM

I'm playing my Faerie pathfinder.

Posted by: Bruno Mar 3 2010, 06:50 PM

Booked on as elven rogue smile.gif

Posted by: DanM Mar 3 2010, 07:52 PM

Faerie Wizard...

Posted by: iainwimble Mar 3 2010, 09:04 PM

Damn i would love to play my Rogue but i am playing the Elis Brother campaign thing, I will try and get onto another as i would love to see who has more innate darkness spells, me or Yvanderriel lol.

Purely out of curiosity, what's the max/threshold on this?

Huw

Posted by: MarkCox Mar 8 2010, 06:07 PM

Its an unbalanced - which means 10k

MCC

Posted by: dnsmantra Mar 9 2010, 11:22 AM

So... 10k, but not statted at Max 10k but as something somewhere roughly party suitable below that, righto.

Huw

Posted by: Flanners Mar 9 2010, 11:55 AM

Yeah....sure! huh.gif

Posted by: Harrumph Mar 9 2010, 12:25 PM

i'm about 75% sure i'm going to do this now, 1500 points of not very good grey wizard, not very good archer

Richard

Posted by: Flanners Mar 10 2010, 05:24 PM

Cool.

I've asked Jo to stop bookings by next wednesday. That way i have time to change stuff for whatever unbalancing reason blink.gif

Steve.

Posted by: Flanners Mar 15 2010, 01:42 PM

This needs at least 2 good monsters.

Cheers.

Steve

Posted by: DaveR Mar 15 2010, 10:29 PM

Seeing as the 750 has folded I'll come along and hand out trapped scrolls of Malovent Dynamo to you all .... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif or just beat you all about a bit

Any chance of an advance copy of the dungeon Steve ? (sendto: thermalheat -at- hotmail.com)

See Ya Sunday

Dave

Yay Dave!

Posted by: Bruno Mar 16 2010, 09:53 AM

So who's actually in the party

Dan - KotT - faerie wizard
Kirsty - Ana - faerie scout
Bruno - Avelariel - elven rogue
Ian A ?
Richard ?
Huw ?
MCC ?
Chris Cox ?

...?

Posted by: Flanners Mar 16 2010, 10:16 AM

Awooga...that was quick...just went from 0 to 4 monsters in a day!

According to the spreadsheet, our contenders are:

1) Dan M - Grey/Ebony Wiz ~ 2.5k
2) Kirstry - Red/Blue Scout/Wiz ~ 1k
3) Andy W - Brown Wiz ~ 6k
4) Paul D - Brown Gnome Wiz ~ 3k
5) Sonof ~ Sorcerer ~ 4k
6) Fi - Brown/Silver Wiz ~ 3k
7) BBB - Grey/Black Wiz/Scout ~ 7k
8) Bruno - Rogue ~ 5k
9) CC - Red Wiz ~ 8k
10) Lilley - Ebony Wiz ~ 1k
11) Easton - White Wiz ~ 2.5k

Currently, this Sunday's Gladiators are

MCC - Jet
Ryder - Shadow
Sully - Wolf
Sarah - Scorpio

I'll send dungeon tonight when i'm home. BOOKINGS WILL CLOSE AT THE END OF TODAY.

On my 1st whistle...

Posted by: Bruno Mar 16 2010, 10:28 AM

Now that's a good mix! Although disappointingly light on vivomancers and 1st-class warriors smile.gif We shall form a wedge with Mr Dale at the point.

Posted by: Chris Mar 16 2010, 10:32 AM

>>9) CC - Red Wiz ~ 8k<<
5.8k

Posted by: Flanners Mar 16 2010, 10:33 AM

Same thing really isn't it?

Posted by: dnsmantra Mar 16 2010, 12:53 PM

I've taken the last spot. I'm not sure at all what to play... and it might turn out to be something 8th+75 if nothing else suits... options below:

1) ~2k Mirrorfolk (needs a guest slot - broadly my preferred option) - has neuronic empathic healing, and some power-transfer style stuff, so provided we can disable things I can heal people from them (though not that fast), give people mana back & move spells between people (a bit) and so on. Has neuronic wall, which given lack of warriors looks like it might be handy.

2) ~7k Ggrutuck (again needs a guest slot) - can fight a lot, but not so much without any healing and can't drink potions. There also seems to already be an abundance of brown.

3) ~500pt Faerie Red/Brown Wizard - is not the most party constructive character in the world and there's a lot of red/brown already in the party, but is in the relevant guilds. This is sort of my least preferred option.

4) Something entirely new.

I've yet to decide what to play front runners are Anath and Yvanderriel a 7k High Wizard or 3k 2nd rank Warrior. We could probably do with a Warrior - ultimately what I play could be seriously influenced by whether I can arrange a lift to the caves. Anath requires lots of kit, Yvanderriel very little, making the latter a better choice for public transport!

And, looking at that list, why do I get the feeling that having a spirit could be somewhat of a liability smile.gif

And where's our friendly Druid that we always bring along for standing at the front and healing us? Fromant?!?!?

BBB

Posted by: Kirsty Mar 16 2010, 01:28 PM

I'm Red, Blue AND black... with more than likely some level 4 gold drave innates as well.

Anyone other elves who are 2nd tier C.O.D? I've got loads of lembas if need be...

Felt a bit cheeky being completely immune to magic now, although i was invited.

That and i had my shifts taken away in the druid nerfage, and didn't want to be left standing in the breif as you all teleport off :-) Cant let the cavie rumour mill down with character spend flaws like that!

Elite magical bandages?!

I have a few treated bandages and some resuscitation balms...

I think Lee said he was gonna sort out some more bandages :-)

Posted by: Fionamullin Mar 16 2010, 03:51 PM

Bah - There are a reasonable number of treaded bandages and 12 pts coming from the guild stores...
Just get to me before Lee's character does.
Seriously everyone is welcome to them.

If I wasn't busy I'd buy water-port and help you points whore more - we need to show a strong face after the nerf, if we pretend we're tough still people might even believe it!

Flanners spreadsheet obviously has a virus in it's macros either that or he has started inputting a hype value rather than actual points.

You won't need them... you're the boss so you'll be ordering everyone else to do all the dangerous work!!!

Looks like me and the Sorceror are the front line....

Plus I think he's going to try to disguise himself as a Mummy .... although why eludes me biggrin.gif

Stand away from that film for at least a good 50 yards and then drop a bomb on it to make it safe, after said mushroom cloud has vanished then it maybe safe to go near it but make sure you drink lots of beer to reduce you sight to a blur.

Thats how bad it is.

Here you go.

Non-standards

Flame’s Embrace: This a red mana voice of power starting at 1 level and a black mark towards chaotic. It also gives you 1 rank of the Pasha of Fire status. It lasts 24 hours. All of these stack. 1/2 effect fire means it’s a VoP 1/2 a level upon you,1/2 a black mark and 1/2 a rank, etc. Immunity to Alignment Change and VoP apply. The VoP is war cryable, etc. You gain the Pasha benefits even if you're immune to domination, etc. This is not a spell.

Flare: As per Flash but it also gets extremely hot for the duration. Red. 0mp.

Blinding flare: As per Flare and Blinding Flash. Immunity to blindness applies. 1/2 effect fire means it only lasts 15 seconds, etc. This is not a spell.

Fires of the Sun: As per Annihilation but fire based. Resistances to fire apply. If killed by this there is nothing to reform. 24mp

Consume: As per dispel. It is a dispelling effect. Immediately engulfs and destroys an ongoing magical effect in flames. Red 16mp

The Facemelter: is a Sever to your head. Resistances to fire also apply. Red. Range 18’. 18mp.

Oath Break or Pact Breech – This Breaks one pact or oath from the target, e.g. the Oath spell, KotL Oath, Pact with the dragon, Wardpact, etc. It merely sunders the pact/oath. E.g. Wardpact with shades goes down or you lose KotL benefits, etc. Resistance to Wardpacts provides full immmunity to Pact Breech and Immunity to Emotion attacks applies to Oath Break. You’ll find out how long it lasts. Ebony 16mp.

Standard Stuff worth remembering

The Touch – 12/12 magical cold and a magical paralysis to anyone with mana or magical innates due to class or race.

Power Cast: damaging spells inflict a minimum of bruising damage unless has immune to bruising using MAC.

Force of magic: Damaging spells inflict minimum damage as force of arms.

Posted by: BBB Mar 19 2010, 03:30 PM

And I notice these just after I've decided what to play... Great... This is going to hurt... wink.gif

Maybe time to start a Fire Elf Red Wizard...

Hi Steve,

is face melter 3' or 18' ?

Stuart- back of the Ishma book. interestingly amongst other things gives a resistance to fire as you go up the ranks.
