Hi All,

No, afaik you can't take any class to above 8th although having said that in the non standard system anything could happen. It would be very unlikely though.

I'm sure it says that 8th level is the highest you can achieve. It might be in the evolution or old tables
Nothing wrong with a MC to increase the effectiveness. Or if it's just that you want more base innates, then apply for those seperately. What's your crazy idea Hamp? -------------------- |

want to increase base life without spending 380pts for 9tblp. would help if power warriors could buy Power house but there is no published costing's.
extending class to 14/16 level would give me extended base life and additional innates at the same time. -------------------- Paul Marsh II aka Hampton

Which is exactly why classes don't go above 8th level so that people don't increase their base life above 8th level as it effects life capping etc.
You can apply for + 1 Level of Innates (9th lvl) +2 level from +1 level (10th lvl) as simple one liners. -------------------- Gordon Court

its not exactly game breaking when your levels of life are 3/1 and at 16th level would have a base of 75/25.....lol

I've got a high power warrior multiclass which increases my base life from power warrior amongst other things. I'd recommend you app a separate multicass to achieve this or just multicass warrior.

m/c warrior then take it to 8th.
Then m/r and ask for 82/27 at 8th of that. (not too sure what happened to the good old days of 84/28) Or just ask for +1 level of base life. Oleg simples. Andrew |

There's also the resistance levels to think about, and the way abilities scale as you go up in levels. A 16th level wizard would have 272 base mana. What innates would a 16th level elf have? And you would probably expect something better than a pre-8th specialist at every level from 9th upwards. -------------------- OOC:- Matt West IC:- A. bin Razil of the Carrion Scavengers Hetyan (Ishmaic Onyx Wizard and Knight of the Land, suitable for a Max 1500); Yosh (monastically trained knife-thrower, suitable for a Max 2k, semi-retired); Hassan bin Kassim of the Perished Sands Hetyan (mage, suitable for a Max 1500); Haram of the Blackened Bones Hetyan (please smile for the crazy evil witch!) (suitable for a Max 750); Flaig (Pilgrim of the Forge, around the 500 mark, played on Borderwatch guild specials); "Murk" ('the Mercenary formerly known as "Sunflower"') (as featured in Primal Times No. 24) ("suitable" for a Max 1K, allegedly); Sahra bin Flambo of the Placid Waters Hetyan (290 points of fire and spear, plus any monster points; "Sahra" means "Desert"); various others A longer version of this post is available on request. |
