It's been a tough winter. The cold has kept many of us at home while the threat of Pep has kept others away from their usual travels and mercenary missions.
But as always, the people of the North have shown their resilience. The winter hasn't passed with all doom, however. Tribes of note within the North have been working together over these last few months to come to an agreement whereby we take the law and order of the North into our own hands so that it does not pass to some magistrate in the Empire. Their law and culture does not dictate our lives and we have finally found common ground in order to prevent that from happening from here on out. Men of the North will quabble and we will fight but we will not have our lives ruled over by those who do not understand our ways. As such, all those who belong to the North will have judgement passed on crimes that would be outlawable offences within the Empire judged instead by the North, should said crime be committed while in the Far North. Our lands, our law, our judgement. It's been a tough winter and I do not for a second believe it's over. But as things start to thaw and the threat of Pep no longer keeps northmen prisoner, I expect there to be a lot more travel and mercenary missions. While I would never expect or even encourage there to be no threat of violence and disagreement among the tribes and people of our land, it's time we show the Empire that we are not a bunch of incompetent fools and it's time to show them that we will hold our ground, we will ally against them when needed, and we will rule our own lands. For the North. Nyx Frostbone -- ((OOC: player contract PCLD 42 complete! Thank you to everyone who's worked on it. This means, that should any guild member of Of The North commit an outlawable offence while in The Far North, judgement of your crime will pass to me as guild head and the GSM as the other notable tribes to pass judgement, instead of going straight to the nearest magistrate of the Empire)). . -------------------- Stacey
