“Your Eminence there was an incident at the Shrine of Nights falling.” said the acolyte. The priest seemed unperturbed and continued his work illuminating the transcript.
“Go on” “The Church of Iron and Empire turned up” “When?” “When the shrine was all but abandoned, luckily the villagers were in the neighbouring village of Brooksfield over to celebrate the Holy Day.” The Priest breathed a sigh: “So the fatalities were minimal?” “Your eminence, there were no fatalities.” “What, the Paladins said they were most respectful. Curiously the Gaius was with them and claimed that they were acting with the authority of the Inquisition. He claimed to be a follower of Light and a member of the Church of Iron and Empire. Bradley and Barnabus, the Paladins on duty, as far as they were able, ascertained were both true statements and felt unable to bar them entrance.” “What did the Necromancers do?” “They took one of the undead tomes that the Order keep sealed away.” “So they failed to take the artefacts, Lucas prevailed I take it?” “No, your Eminence. Lucas did not prevail, they spared him and simply took a page from the Book of the Dead. They did not touch any of the other artefacts. They left everything as it was. They rendered Lucas unconscious and revived him as they left.” “I don’t, I don’t understand. They took none of the dangerous artefacts?” “No.” “And they harmed no one?” “No, you Eminence.” -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
