OK, so I've sat down and read through this ritual we found thoroughly. The wording is a bit on the tribal side, but pretty much, it's a summoning and binding of various unique undead beings to a place, the last of which is called a "Spirit of Touratis"*. The person who wrote this ritual is obviously a highly skilled necromancer, as he was able to weave the powers of these undead into a ritual, using 'the power of his blood, and his ancient power'. Which leads me to think of three possible things:

1) He's one of the ancient folk using pacts with the undead
2) He's one of those priests of blood magic - but they're normally not very good at keeping control over things, their power is too wild.
3) he's some sort of noble using his ancestral blood to fuel rituals.

At no point does this rite mention the Void or the Lord of Midnight. It does use the phrase "may your powers grow as the midnights pass", but I think that's more related to the fact that it's a rite of nighttime rather than day.

From what happened, and what the rite says, each of the undead has a power that it grants to all of his other minions there at the time, and a power that will lash out when it's dismissed. So if we do go up against him (and I intend to if possible), being resistance to wraiths, wights pestilence and the embodying of the Incarna Mortis miracle would be a good idea.

I'm hoping he's a small spotty type in the flesh, but I doubt it. From my other source he appears to be quite a charismatic individual, and has sway over a tribe of devoted followers. Which most likely means he's in the middle of a large tract of land he's warded with all the nasty defensive rites he can come up with.

Bea.

*That's what the paper said, but Son of wrote it... I think it's probably Toutatis in fact.
--------------------------------
Its good you're not dead. Sorry about the ribs. But they get better.

There's important things I need to say before I forget, and its important too that people think before they say anything about them. Because they're hard to say, some of them, and there's too much history and pain and badness and the wrong words will start more than they mean.

The place of the dreaming had visions, so the spirits could show more than they would. And the things I saw came from there, and they feel like real things, like truth.

I saw the sun shining on a beautiful day, the kind of day where you can just sit and watch the world go by and its all right that you don't have to try or work or hurt that day, because its perfect and its for you. Then a shadow passed across the sun, and it was night and the stars were shining and it was the sort of night where you can sit and watch the stars with a big blanket and some hot wine and everything is all right and theres the world and you're in it and that's how it should be. Its not that way very often round here.

Then a hand passed across the stars, all pale and thin and rotting, and it started to put out the stars, one by one, like before. And they screamed, the stars, like the angels screamed when they died before, and it hurt so much that I can't say, because only one of you would understand. And the stars were gone, and the world was empty, and the nothingness was everywhere and it was going to end us all and your Lady too. And people said afterwards that it didn't matter if they died, because they'd be with her, but thats not always true, because even gods can die and that's the worst thing in the world.

A man spoke to us, a cursed shadow of a man, and said that before, things had happened, and people hadn't been ready. We were too young and we wouldn't remember, and we needed to look to history and remember, to watch the signs and listen, because things hang in the balance. It wasn't the Great Battle with the Enemy, but another, and he couldn't say more because he was cursed. I blessed him and he was gone.

Our enemies use the tools of the Enemy because they stole some of his power. The Void, the emptiness, the killing heart-seeking blade. This is why they are their things, and why we'll kill them all without question or pause.

A man wanted to buy the star-forged sword, that Sharon carries. He offered us coin but we didn't want it, then he said he would kill a village if we wouldn't give it to him. Like the agent of Baron Thrasburn offered Nexus money for things before. And we said no. People won't all understand, but you can't compromise. No matter who it is.

We could bring her back, but you'd be like us. And thats the only way to change it. That's the worst thing in the world.

But we don't have to change the ending. There's another way to help her. The Shadowed Star are formed from the deaths of children of the faith, to seek out her shards. We have to stop them, we have to find them, because that's all that's left.

There's more but I'm tired now. Sorry.

Falorn
Falorn has described what she saw very eloquently - I'll try and cobble together a timeline of what I believe happened. For those as weren't there, we spent a lot of time in the spirit world finding stuff out rather than doing things, but what we're facing can't be kicked in that simply.

Sometime around the start of the year, a falling star fell somewhere in the far North, not in Hordehost's lands, but another bit (there's a lot of North). Shortly after a man appeared who is almost certainly connected to the star, though whether he arrived with it or it was a portent of his arrival isn't entirely sure. I'm inclined to the former, but I need to speak to Harpell to confirm some stuff.

He was dressed in civilised clothing, carried a black staff and a black blade that appeared ethereal.

He arrived at a tribe called (if I remember correctly) the Fury of the North, who worshipped a bear totem. He fought them and beat them trivially, but didn't kill anyone.

He left for a while, then came back and somehow seduced their shaman away from the tribe - the shaman 'cut his beard and dressed like a southerner'. The starnger gave the shaman a powerful dagger, and persuaded the shaman to summon the tribe's totem, which the dagger killed, stealing all the totem's power into it.

This tribe are now known as the Toutatis, and the core of the falling star man's forces (incidentally I don't have a proper name for him yet, so I'm going to call him'The Northshadow' for now. That's not a real name, it's just a pretentious title I've made up).

Northshadow has many powers that we recognise from the old evil, and from divination, he has some shard of that evil in him, taken when we defeated the enemy. He has been taking over tribes by persuading their shaman or other leaders to summon the totem spirit and then using this powerful dagger to kill the spirits and steal their power.

When a priest of our faith came north to preach, he was captured and tortured. The Lady sent angels to rescue him, and Northshadow killed the angels, taking their power. I'm starting to think he was using the priest as bait

Two tribes he took over were the Wolves (who were a sneaky lot) and the Ice Eagles, whose shaman was given the choice of 'summon your totem or die' - the shaman didn't realise the dagger could kill the spirit. Members of these tribes who are still alive have been spiritually mastered to become part of his army.

Northshadow's lot them came up against the Ice Tigers. This was a basically goodly bunch, so he had their shaman killed (presumably because he knew she wouldn't betray her totem), and stabbed Fury of the Storm, their chieftain with a dagger whose tip broke off, and was working its way towards his heart, leaving an unhealable wound.

Hands up anyone who remembers that trick...

Kaspar managed to get the knife out and we destroyed it. So the Ice Tigers are still there, but fighting a loosing battle.

Other things:

We removed the morgul knife from Fury of the Storm (Kaspar did a very clever trick with a befriend miracle), placed it in a protection from evil spirits, bathed it in holy water and the light of the lady, then finished it off with a volley of spiritbolts. I hope we don't meet another one, but remember the method just in case.

There are a whole lot of undead being used - I'll list them and their powers separately.

That's it really. I'm throwing open the floor to suggestions as to what to do next.

Bea

Ladies and gents, just so you know when you meet them, these are the undead that the 'Northshadow' is using.

Souls of the Sacrifice

Third rank undead. Physical bodies with the hearts cut out. They can be beaten to death relatively easily, but lash out with a small bolt of evil spiritual damage upon death. Simplest way to kill them is to get an elf to lay in the final blow. They don't lash out if they have been dismissed, but it's a toss up whether that's effective use of spirits - the damage of their dying could be cured with a single cure serious wounds.

Accursed Skeletons
Fifth rank. If you don't bless them they keep on going - either can't die or fall over and reform straight away.

Frozen Souls
Fifth rank. Ethereal undead, need to be hit three or four times with a spiritual blade. They carry ethereal blades with which they are moderately skilled and their touch freezes, but only for a half minute or so. They're probably some variation on a wight, though I have not seen one shift between planes.

Souls of Destruction
Seventh rank. These are nasty ones - huge animated corpses, skilled with sword and shield and fast on their feet. Periodically they can throw out a spiritual miasma that settles around a person. It only lasts a moment, but if you have any open wounds at the time, they fester and can't be healed for a good hour or so.

Best way to fight these is to hold them in a protection and beat them to death, which takes a while, but it is worth noting that whilst holy water will hold their bodies back the poisoning of wounds can pass across it.

There may be a way to cure such wounds immediately, with blessings or similar, but we didn't investigate that - fortunately it wears off.

Bea,

did we ever discover if blessed weapons would be effective against the "Accursed Skeletons"?

Would it be possible for someone to check?

Thanks,

Owen.

I think that the Order has meet the Souls of Destruction, and can confirm that a Blessing allows curing immediately.

We also have meet something similar to the Souls of Sacrifice although rather than doing a minor amount of damage to their slayer, they stole a small amount of their soul if this happened enough vitae would be lost, this is a purely spiritual effect thus elves can kill them freely.

I hope this information is of use, and I'm sure that someone else from the Order will come in with more information, we have a meeting coming up soon so more information may well come up from that.

Simon,

I do not believe that this is the case. The undead of the seventh rank that we met in the South were much less potent than the ones later encountered in the Far North. So much so that I was able to destroy two of the Southern undead myself, while I am fairly sure that just one of the Far North undead would have killed me. It is true that the Southern undead cursed the air around their victim (and that blessing that air would then enable curing) - but I do not believe that the Far North undead made the wounds they inflicted uncurable with the same method. It may be susceptible to blessing, but we do not know that.

May you ever walk in starlight,

Ignatius

Thank you for your corrections Ignatius, to me they did sound very similar, but as you have seen both I'm sure you are correct.

I've been reading this again, sorry but I only just got the chance. The man we are looking for dressed like a man from the Empire but had skin like he'd lived in the outside a lot. He carried a weapon that really hurt the angels.

I may be getting this wrong, but isn't the man we're looking for, the one who enacted that rite on the child, isn't he the original shaman of the Toutatis?

That certainly seems to ring true.

Which makes him the original Voice of the Terror and explains why he was able to cast the rite of the heart without.

So now all we need to do is find him and kill him. How does this help us find him? I suppose it means we know where he is, or where things that might tell us more about him.

There is not much time and it is hard to write, but you need to know these things. We found these burnt papers in the North, in the tomb of the Ice Drake where the warrior of the faith Marshall was held as part of the Rite of the Captive.

There are three outer parts to the Rite, and a central part. The outer parts now hold an angel of Shaehan, the elevn golden mage who serves the Lady, and Thomas. They are in so much pain it breaks the heart but this is the unbearable sorrow and must be endured so we return to cold words and bare facts. The rite grants some part of the power of the captive to the 6th circle undead, Focus of the Captive - whilst Marshall was held, their blades were covered with starlight. Thomas will add little as he is a psychic and they are undead.

To break the rite we must break the central focus, which is shielded. Doing so will not harm the captives.

It is helpful to us to release the other captives, as it is right and proper to defend the innocent, and they have knowledge of the enemy and there are things in those places that will aid us. Thomas said that only an angel could take Marshall's place. I could force the enemy to do so, I think, but we are not they and will not become them now or ever.

The papers below speak of two things that concern me greatly; the creation of Shards of Darkness bound with the power of dark prayers (as such have required the reading of scrolls of the prayer that fuels them to destroy them) and the suggestion that we have failed to comprehend something found in the Void. Tarvak is I believe the shaman who has stolen the heart of the child and who must be slain.

Hurry, now, there is little time.

Falorn of Grace

"Hedrus

It seems we may have had a great success with the Shards of Darkness. The previous failures to bind more potent miracles to them have been overcome by one of my apprentices. He has spent his time dedicating himself to the way of the runes and believes he can use them to bind causing miracles, and worse, to protect them. If this is the case it will be a great success.

My master has also retreived texts concerning more potent undead we may be able to use. These include a type of wraith that rather than devouring one's spirit actually leaches the life of their foes. While they find it difficult to actually slay someone they may prove a useful foot soldier against the tribes as their herds are weakened before the battle begins.

I have heard no word from Midgnight for some time, though I saw a vision of darkness escaping back into the world, so I expect he has failed, or is close to failure.

May the shadows of the void guid you.

Tarvak"

"Hedrus

It is as I expected. Midnight has failed. Our Master will be most displeased at this, though the success of his other servants will please him.

I am still waiting for word from the Empire, he said he was travelling from Halgar to investigate something in or near the Broken Lands, orc infested wasteland it is.

Your success may be ever more important for our power base is weakening by the day, and eventually our enemies will find a way to reach us and bring us low.

May the shadows of the void guid you.

Tarvak"

"Hedrus

....good. My servant that has been at work in the Empire has found out what we.......I will be heading south to perform the rites before this month is out. I do not want you to sacrifice yourself for the drake, it is no longer that valuable. If you can obtain it do so, if not the ....art asI may have need for you soon.

The Church of Elbereth have been most successful in countering us, and unless you can manage to ..... the Drake we will lose the Frost Elves' support. That said if all goes well it will matter not for I will be able to stand against the tribes and devour their totems one by one of my own ...

Ensure everything relevant is destroyed before you leave, their success in the void revealed more than they realised.

May the shadows of the void guid you.

Tarvak"

My friend has finished translating the ritual in tribal script for us and provided the following.

It was originally three or more pieces of paper, but unfortunately we only have the first two sheets and the top of the third.

The Hartep Call to Battle

Lo for we will enter battle armed with the might of our ancestors to guard us from treachery. We will stand tall and strong side by side with the greatest of the tribes warriors. The rite is one that requires you prove your worth. You must enter the chambers of our people and gain victory over those that guard it. Then in the place of battle you must call to the champions of our tribe. One by one you must face them in battle and one by one they must fall to you.

You must not show fear, you must not take a step back and you must be willing to die. For defeat means not only failure but also death

If you claim victory so will you be wrapped in the power of the Hartep and until your death in battle will they watch you. Not rite or spell, not miracle or druid's touch will bring you low. For you will stand as a warrior and only blades of man will you be defeated.

The rite requires you to stand in the centre of the chamber as each foe falls issue the challenge to the next. The challenge that must be called:

I .......... do stand here in our sacred place. I stand ready and willing to die. I know my place in the world is to fight for glory and power. I now call to ....... face me and feel my might. I call you to battle. I name you as weak and demand you grant me your strength.

With the end of the calling the departed one will appear and battle will begin. With each victory so the potency of the rite grows. You may stop at any time, but once done you may not begin the rite until it fades from you.

These that you may call upon are:

It stops at that point - possibly he kept the list of names for reference.

The only loophole I can see is that the list of things it wards you against don't include powers of the mind - but that may be poetic license.

Bea.

Martin just handed me three letter - transcriptions here, though I can't tell you anything about where they were found or what order they were found in

Bea

--------

Maibrack

It has been discussed and I agree that with recent failures it would be better to withdraw rather than try to hold land we do not have the forces for. My success in the Broken lands will ensure I can stand against the tribes to our north soon and we will be able to push that way, while still holding the new borders to the south.

Hedrus should be able to distract the Elbretheans with his mission n their city. I have sent him to assassinate the various Guild leaders and their seconds, then to move onto anyone else he wishes. His presence there should distract them enough for us to push forward with our plans before the Winter sets in.

the rescuing of the Elbrethean from the Ice Drakes resting place has proved difficult and may slow other things. thomas entering has weakened the undead tied to the rites, they seem to have acquired some sort of mental presence. Unfortunately I cannot remove this while the point remains occupied. If we can get him to leave then it will be destroyed and I can re-create it elsewhere with a more useful captive.

Tarvak.

----

Maibrack,

I know I have asked much of you, but you are a great servant and champion of the tribe, and when we are bathed in glory you will receive a more than fair share. The loss of the Frost elves has struck us hard. I know the defence of the Rite of Hanging is important, but so is the prisoner Aldrais. The focus is perhaps half a mile South east of the rite, so you should be able to split your forces between the two without much problem. If the choice has to be made then withdraw back to the rite of Hanging, the souls of Destruction are more important than the powe one mage gives us, especially as the rite that imprisons him cannot be removed until the central part is removed, and that is held deep in the void where the power and darkness still lingers.

I understand your concerns about the Servants and their strange ways, but my master assures me they are loyal and the fact they hail from the Empire should not be a problem.

Tarvak

---

Maibrack,

I am amazed by the assistancewe have just received. The creature that was sent to us will prove most useful, it is an extremely powerful thing of magic. I have already set it to empower the ritual that create the Evil Within, the Souls of the Sacrificed, and the Bound Sacrifices, so they will be infused with magic as well. Its guardians are less welcome, but with every good thing there is a price. I expect the creature will have finished its work before Winter sets in, if not before Autumn is done. When it is done I intend to move it to the void to work on the Shards of darkness, binding them with magic would make them virtually unstoppable.

I have had word from Hedrus and all goes well. Those in Gothial have not moved to stop him as yet, which will work in our favour.

Tarvek.

All three were found in a mystical box at the site of the Mages sacrifice.
Warded and trapped - and removed by Valfor.

We took the box and several of us cast holy blessings into it - it being an 'empty vessel' and turned it to blessed powers.

No - I think they were servants of lord midnight or one of these various pretenders to voidal power - we met and fought several of them around the area

Here's a rough transcript of the obscure runic script we found a couple of weeks back. I am really not sure of the name in the final paragraph - I think it is Dravashrives, but others may know more.

There's no title or indication of who the author is or was, other than it is in an obscure form of spiritual glyphs.

Bea.

---

"It is said that if you truly slay a god a simple shard of its power lingers on beyond its death. This is true even if the power of the god is claimed or stolen by another or indeed if someone else ascends to its mantle.

The shards of power are important and can be used for many things. More than one sword of god slaying has been forged using the spark of a dead divinity’s power. It is said that these shards can be devoured as well and used to empower other gods or even mortals. Finally myth holds that they can be used as a focus to create a new god who will rise to take the place of the old one. This is by no means easy, and I cannot attest to how true it is. What I do know is that such a rite if possible would be dangerous and require many things to be in place before it could be performed. My hypothesis suggests eight individuals would be needed, seven priests or similar would be required. This seems to be a common theme in drawing enough power from the spirits to form a faith or church. They would have to renounce all ties to other deities and gods to be able to channel enough power to bring the shard back to life.

Each of them would need an object. I do not know what the object would need to be, or indeed even if it would be a tangible thing but it would be different for each divinity being created. The eighth person would need to act as a vessel for the new god. They would have to be carrying, probably within them, the shard of the divinity’s power. This rite would transform the shard into the force of divinity it had once been and allow it to grow and regain its power. However the vessel if mortal would probably be slain in the process. Also the desires, dreams and belief the vessel holds would likely shape the nature of the divinity’s growth at first.

The rite would need to be performed somewhere of significance to the old god when it lived, which is not always obvious. When there, the vessel should stand in the middle with the seven priests around them. What is required next I am afraid I do not know. I have however managed to gain some information concerning this. There is said to be a library, a place that records the secrets of existence, a place that holds knowledge beyond time and space. Those who travel there are said to remember little of the place, if anything, beyond the knowledge they went to seek the librarians are powerful creatures, but will not always reveal the information they hold as some of it is not for this time, or indeed anytime. I still hope to be able to find a means of travelling there one day, but I do not know what this would be. Perhaps the secrets lie in the tunnels that once housed the Laiu in Ishma, or in one of the lost cities of the First Age. There are rumours of one of these beneath one of the great forests of the Empire. Perhaps even the secrets lie within the Baronies? After all the dravashrives are creatures that feed on the power of gods, they may even be the shards of divinities from the First Age that have managed to survive the death of their worshippers. But now feed on the power of other gods to survive? My only other clue is that the secrets may have once been held by the great giants of the frozen North, before they left their bodies behind, but where they may have been I do not know.

So I will continue my quest, seeking to strive to unfold this mystery. Who knows if I ever manage it I may be able to find the shard of a divinity of Wealth and bargain for a fortune for the power it holds? Or even sell the secrets to others."

More documents for you all.

The document found at the ritual circle

5 – Place the objects in a circle with the body of the Dravashrive in the middle. Lay the sword on his corpse.

6 – Call forth the seven Abashis that will serve as ritualists. This is the tricky part as it is unclear they will work, but they should.

7- Each Abashi must in order stand over the object and say “I name invoke the power of object. I offer it up as sacrifice to mark this act”.

8- When all seven objects are invoked I must say “I Clarvas Tepail call now to thee. Make the sacrifice I ask” The abashi must in unison respond “We give these sacrifices to thee”

9- At this point the seven objects should crumble to dust and the power form a full circle around the body and sword. Then step into the circle and take the sword and say “Let this Blades name be infused with the power of this fallen god. Let the sword rise anew to bring the gods low”. Then the sword must be plunged into the heart of the Dravashrive and it will feed on the soul of the god that is with in.

If everything as gone well at this point the soul of the god will be drawn into the blade and everything will be resolved. If something as gone wrong then hopefully the Abashi will provide sufficient protection for me to flee.

The document in Ancient from the box in the ruined city

According to the Scholar Tebris, and what scrap of his works I could find, he has theorised that the reason the Dravashrives hunger for spirits is they were once Angels, or even gods that have lost their worship. They long to feel it again, and the closest they can get to it is to feed on the power those that wield the spirits have. This would, to some extent, explain why they sleep in places where religion is strong, because they can simply feed on the ambient faith, but where it is weak they are awake and hunt for power to devour and sustain them.

Using this theory I conclude that it should be possible to use them to forge a god slaying blade as the rites describe. The seven objects are more tricky, though Demstar should be of use if I can bind him to my will. I would need A shrive of considerable power to be able to do so, or the blade would be of little use.

I only wish I could have found more clues before I begin to action, but alas very few keep records of these things, and my efforts to hunt for Ketrail met with a battle against several angels.

Perhaps there will be others that I could find, but I do not have time.

Ketrail's letter

I am not sure how much the below will help. I have thought long, and still what happens is not entirely clear. Perhaps it is the length of time that passed, or maybe with the turning ages reality has changed beyond what I recognised so I can not be clear, or maybe even the pain of my death made me block some things from my memory.
What I do remember is that to perform the rite to forge the Sword of the Tranquil Sea, as it was called, I needed seven objects, and a sword of perfect edge and form. The objects fell into three groups. Three were to show the power of the rite itself, these were symbols of strength and mastery over the spirits. Three were offering to the tranquil spirit as thanks for its aid. From memory I choose for them to be sacrifices to him, but others have used symbols of mastery over the thing they are using. The final object it there to invoke the power of the rite. It is always unique to each ritual, and very difficult to find. I used a coral chalice, forged from coral that has grown in both the Eastern and Western Oceans.
Then myself, the Tranquil one, and seven of my friends gathered at a high craggy top, near what is now Scarlene, a city that is rapidly turning to the worship of dangerous gods from what I see. The objects were placed and each of my friends spoke some words over them calling on the power within them. The tranquil then entered the circle. Words were spoken calling on power, offering sacrifices, and giving thanks for what was to be done. Then the Tranquil one took the blade and fell upon it as the rite was concluded.
The tranquil's very soul and power was drawn into the blade. When it was broken his essence returned back to the sea where he had come from.

I believe that Demstar still lives, though even in his present state he is dangerous. It is possible you could seek him out and learn from him, but for him to have remained hidden for so long means either he has been captured or he has decided he no longer wishes to deal with the mortal world.

I have pondered on the ghost city, as it has been called. I would suspect that it is the city is Cabab. It was a place of Scholars as well as warriors within Ishma, until the Afthanel came and wiped it out. The rumours say that on certain days it returns to live out the last days of his existence again, the souls trapped there eternally.

I wish I could be more help, but the memories of my mortal life are some what feint. I will do my best to remember more and to try and find out what I can.

May you ever walk in Elbereths light

Ketrail

The document in scratching tongue that Bradley cheated in translating

It is, the story says, a place of near perfection. The Elves that live there stand in a place between this world and another. The paradise they have is because they have cast out sin. The world about them is hard to find, indeed men have walked through the centre of their streets and been unable to see them.

The trail I follow says the journey will take me north from here. Through the forests that surround the Bin Mier, maybe even beyond the Mier itself, who can tell. I do know am drawn to this place. I do not know if it is something within me, or guidance from another but I do know that I feel the pull in me.

I have already found where the next clues lead me to, or so I believe. There is a small glade in the forests, the myths say a Djiin called Skies of pure light was killed there, and now it is kept sacred and hidden by a group of Afthanal who has turned from their path of slavery and suffering to embrace the teaching of the light. If this is true then I hope I will be able to learn more there.
If not, or I fall on the way, I hope others will come to follow in my steps so that one day what these people have may belong to all of the Elven people.

Sorry its taken a few days, but we've been a bit busy and I hat to make a summer hat and Bradley's glove to replace the one he lost. Here are the two documents that we found in the Dark Forest and the tribal graveyard of the North. I'm trying to make a copy of all the things we've found to bring it with us when we go to the other graveyard, so I hope this will help.

Can someone else add the new undead to the undead list? I remember there were Beloved of Ayin, who I think were of the sixth rank, and there were some others which had a really long name which involved wind and fury or something.

See you soon.

Falorn

Found in the lost city in the Dark Forest, 26th Aprius. A man there spoke of enacting the rite to create a blade to kill their immortal king, but it had not worked, and we believe it is different from the other version we have. When I have the two on bits of paper in front of me I'll find the changes. F

SO WITH THE OBJECTS PLACED IN A CIRCLE THE WEAPON MUST BE PLACED IN ITS CENTRE. THE WEAPON MUST BE PERFECTLY CRAFTED WITHOUT ANY IMPURITY OR DEFECT, WITHOUT ANY FLAWS. IT SHOULD BE A VIRGIN BLADE NEVER USED TO DRAW BLOOD OR INFLICT HARM.

THE SPARK OF THE GOD MUST THEN BE PLACED IN THE MIDDLE ALSO, IN WHATEVER FORM IT IS. EACH OF THE RITUALISTS MUST IN TURN INVOKE THE POWER OF THE OBJECT THEY HAVE PLACED CALLING FOR IT TO BRING ITS POWER HERE TO FORGE AND SHAPE THE POWER FO THE GOD BEFORE THEM. THEN WHEN ALL SEVER HAVE SPOKEN THE 8TH WHO WILL BE THE ONE TO WEILD THE BLADE MUST STEP INTO THE CENTRE.

WHEN THERE THEY SHOULD KNEEL AND TOUCH BOTH THE BLADE AND THE SPARK. THEY WILL THEN NEED TO ASK OR COMPEL THE SPARK TO ENTER THE WEAPON. THE POWER OF THE SPARK WILL FLOW FROM THE VESSEL THROUGH THE SALLOW INTO THE BLADE. THIS WILL NOT BE EASY AND WILL DRAIN THE ONE ACTING AS A CONDUIT.

WHEN THE LAST OF THE POWER IS MOVED TO THE BLADE THE SWORD WILL BE FORGED AND SO WILL A SWORD FOR KILLING THE IMMORTAL ONE BE READY.

This was found in the grave of a dead tribal hero in the far North, 26th Aprius. His soul had been bound by Tarvak to forge the blade with which he slew the totems. F

With the power of deception I trick you to my will.
With the voice of the void I shape you to my will
Come forth now and serve as I direct
_______________ I release your power to force that which we call to be bound.
By blood and oath, by the ancient laws I force you to do my bidding.
Let this offering of blood touched with power be given to unlock your mysteries.
