To The Keeper of The Tales and the people of The Arcarnum and The Enclave. Greetings from across the seas. A thousand blessings to you all. The Confederacy has now decided that recent events surrounding 'Athfash Ban Mir' have become a 'mercenary' matter and would like to extend its arm in sponsoring both The Arcarnum and The Enclave for services regarding this matter. In return, we shall fill your coffers with our finest gold. We ask that any who do wish to undertake this task travel to the Rainfinder's offices in Ghalabhad first. If you are a very powerful mage and can teleport from one place to another, let me know and i can have pictures and knowledge of the place sent to you. Otherwise, boats from Bildteve take a fair few days at the very least to arrive. Once your presence in Ishma has been cleared, you shall be escorted upon the well-trodden path up to Osslabhad. Again, this will take a week. We expect everyone and everything to be in place by the 20th day of this month and to start proceedings the morning of the day after. For the next 2 weeks, any members of The Arcarnum and Enclave aiding The Confederacy in this matter will be treated as distinguished guests here in Ishma. You will have many servants, a grand bed to sleep in every night and access to all our culture has to offer. Regarding the nature of this sponsor, we believe an understanding of the wind of fire would be very beneficial. I will attempt to answer any questions you may have. I do hope many of you accept this proposal and look forward to meeting you in just over one fortnight. On behalf of Ragravagh 'Caliph of Clan Salahman' and Astolay 'He Who Is Ishmael,' Yours, Nayve Clan Salahman [OOC-Can anyone (who wants to) pm me the coolest thing your character can do (in your opinion) please. Can be anything, even if it's just quod (which actually, on a wizard dungeon, is a really cool thing.) Cheers. Steve.] |

I'll pack my things and be on my way...
I have a favour to ask though.... since deciding to try my hand at being a wizard I'm kinda low on cash cos of all the generous people offering me teaching scrolls! Would anyone be able to loan me a small amount to get some basic curatives for the mission??? I don't have much knowledge on the 'winds of fire' as you call them but I am half fire faerie so I can blast people quite a bit... Ana -------------------- If you need anything de-trapping... call the Marchants...

Ana,
Potions and bandages, within reason will be provided. Understanding of the wind of fire does not mean you need a teaching scroll Joron. See you all there. Ley-Larni -------------------- Fi

It might be difficult for me to get a release-consent as they don't like me to leave the Empire but I shall try and sweet-talk the Warden as I could do with a bit of sunshine for once and a 'grand bed' certainly sounds appealling.
They don't get all 'unreasonable' when it comes to elvenkind do they over there? You do hear all manner of unpleasant stories. Oh Avelariel, I have a new spell to show you as well, I think you'll like it a lot. Darsidian Blaine Of Halgar |

My friends,
Thank you all for both your public and private replies. Pictures of the Osslabhad 'settlement' have now been sent to those who have asked. The Benhai are currently clearing the northbound tunnels. The ones that come back though constantly return fairly charred to say the least!! If we have any more infomation, we will let you know. Mr Blaine...we have arranged a temporary release under the conditions of your bail from The Empire for the next couple of weeks. Your voyage here will not be as glamorous and you may not stray from our guards, nor may you speak to non-guards at any point. Once you have joined your guild on the 21st day, you may carry on as a free man until the end of the day. May all your families be blessed with many goats, Nayve Clan Salahmen |

I've been here for a while now, looking into things.
Ana, a goat is a sort of animal, found wild in mountainous areas, or cultivated for their milk, meat and fleece. They are quite like sheep and a little like cows, but generally more obstreperous. The source of this fiery significance seems probably to be a "Pyromid" in the mountains south of the Great Sink. It is the home of a (the?) Djinn Lord of Fire. Over the last few months it has been erupting in flames and such frequently, which have consumed much nearby. Athfanal but also other indigenous creatures such as the crol in the area have been showing signs of increased chaos, anger, and also fiery magical talents they did not previously possess. This has become a major issue for the nearest city, which this Clan Salahman are being forced to commit a lot of force to defend against the increasing dangers. I am not clear on whether "someone is behind it all" or if it is a natural magical phenomenon to do with the location and significant presences and so forth. I believe the Clan's plan is to mount a significant assault on the area above-ground, which would enable us to get close below-ground to investigate further. I hope that all makes sense and I look forward to seeing you all in a day or two. Avelariel PS Oh - from discussions here, I understand that "an understanding of the wind of fire" would be more likely to mean 'wardings against fiery magic' rather than 'a talent with fiery magic'. Unfortunately. |

Well I can call upon the Gold Drake to shield my body from some magic... but the Walk Through Fire glyph is a bit out of my depth at the moment.
I have sourced a scroll of a powerful dispel from the Enclave library, and I assume others will acquire other scrolls... however to cast it myself would almost certainly kill me, but if anyone else can use it successfully you are welcome to use it. -------------------- If you need anything de-trapping... call the Marchants...

I can add to Avalariel's intrepid adventures a little with some old fashioned reading, some of which may not be common knowledge. There are 'cadre' of 6 Pasha Lords born of The Great Sink, some would call them Djinn, others Genie, some would even term them Grand Elementals, although they have progressed way beyond the normal ken of elementals. They have at times worked together and apart. Pasha Lords all have their own temples built for them long long ago. The Pasha of fire indeed dwells in the Pyromid.
From my investigation the Northern most tunnels are very little explored, so we will likely be involved in a little bit of adventurous exploration. From my sense of firey magics (which as you might imagine is reasonably honed) there have been a lof of Fire-born Athfanel near Osslabhad, most of which are combated by the Ayin Hasad. I have a little knowledge of the area and will meet you there. Yours Mercutio etc. |

All very interesting indeed.
This would explain the firey eruptions among the mountains in the distance. I shall have the Benhai explore and hopefully clear out the tunnels toward there over the next couple of days. Let us keep this plan a secret shall we. We do not know who else read in these halls. The Athfanel are cunning creatures. May a thousand plagues be upon this Fire Djinn. It will truly know justice by the time i am through with it. My thanks for your infomation. Nayve |

All going well I shall be in attendance, it has been some years since I have wandered Primus and I do not recall having ever travelled within Ishma.
