Labyrinthe Forum _ Young Player OOC Discussions _ Sat 8th Jan

Posted by: Craigus17 Dec 26 2010, 10:03 PM

Howdy guys, hope you all had a good xmas.

I'm booked on to ref for you on the 8th Jan and I know it's a little while away yet but I'm using my time off work constructively and I've already started writing you a dungeon.

I'm writing the plot in a way that sections one and two will be closely linked but it wont be 100% vital to play the morning section in order to 'get' the afternoon section, but of course the day will be far more rewarding for those who do play both sections.

At the moment I have 3 people for the morning section, and 4 for the afternoon. A couple more players and some monsters would be nice please guys. Also anyone who is booked on now or books on in the future if you could please either post here or PM me with what you are playing and what level you are then it would be greatly appreciated.

Let's start 2011 with a bang!

Craig

Ok I've been thinking and writing today, and (if I can have it my way) basically this dungeon is going to be part one of a greater ongoing story arc that's going to stretch through YP's, Adults and possibly even Heroes. It will involve recurring locations and characters that will change and develop as parties intereact with them, Jan's new CC rewards will feature heavily and the whole lot is going to get written up for the almanac.

I need to have a chat with Jo and a couple of others about it to make sure everything's ok, but I've got great things in store for you no matter what. Don't miss out, book on.

I'm bringing Jay as I'm playing the adults. He's playing an 8th +80 halfling pathfinder.

Great!!

Craig, what is a CC reward (Ie what does cc stand for?)

That was a Typo and should have read 'CP Reward'. I got muddled between CP (Campaign Points) and CC (Continuity Co-ordinator - Jans role)

CP is awarded at the end of a dungeon and grants an effect on the gameworld depending on what has happened in the dungeon. Say for example the party break up a smuggling ring in Keys, the CP's may be used to indicate a reduction of Crime in Keys (since there are less dodgy sailors hanging about) but also an increase in the cost of wines (since less cheap merchandise is coming into the empire). CPs bridge the gap between Labyrinthe LRP and Heroes of the Empire PBM (play by mail). Until now YP dungeons seem to have mostly put their CP's towards increasing the Dwonky population in Primus (what on earth is a dwonky anyway!?)

The CP rewards that I said about are a new-ish thing where CP and ISP can be used to grant rewards to the party. There are lots of rewards that you can gain (too many for me to list here) but includes businesses, houses, racehorses, fields of crops, herds of cattle, etc. Look at some of Jans more recent posts for kore details.

Hopefully coming and playing both as my Grey Power Master, 8 and 125 points if I remember correctly.

Jay is most likely bringing a friend who has only played once about a year ago. He'll be starting something new a simple.

Okie dokie, thanks for letting me know. Is Jay playing Deathbringer?

Posted by: doublethebass Jan 2 2011, 02:19 PM

Yep, Deathbringer.

Hey peeps! I'm booked to play first, monster second. Will be starting a Half-Elf Brown Wizard. Never played a half-elf before, should be fun =D

Posted by: Zaptor Jan 3 2011, 08:53 PM

plan it Joss, otherwise you'll get to lvl 8 and 100 pts and go "what do I get now?"

Posted by: JossDixon Jan 3 2011, 09:34 PM

I know what I could buy, it's just setting myself a direction to take the character and sticking with it - didn't do that with Splash, and he kinda fizzled out.

Posted by: JossDixon Jan 4 2011, 03:33 PM

Bumpety Bump!

It's quite a large party, 8/1 and and 8/3 atm, so if anyone can shift about to monster first that could be a help. I tried but that made it 7/2 and 9/2 so not much of an improvement wacko.gif

IC brief is up. It is entirely unrelated to the dungeon I ran on Monday.

Can everyone please make sure that they fill in their battleboards in block capitals with a decent pen. I don't mean to sound fastidious but some of you have handwriting that is a little bit difficult for me to read. Thanks.

Also Joss, you appear to be booked on for playing AND monstering first section. Please can you fix that by booking off one of them.

Ciao for now
