Well.
Just got back in, and I'm still buzzing. I've had an excellent event, for which i'm voicing my thanks to those involved. Thankyou Lee and James for coming up with a straightforward plot to get involved with; It didnt need to be complex or overlaid with double c, rosses or twists, which is testament to the fact that we all got to grips with it and had to play to our strengths and have fluid thinking for us to do well. Both brutal in places and tricksy in others, as I was at the bottom of the points league, I had to work hard to keep my head on my shoulders. Thanks to Fromont, who was able to hold down the kitchen alongside chase things down with a bastard axe and thanks to Tim for mothering Saturday. Two chefs! How lovely. Considering all the frantic concerns last week, to be faced with a veritable horde of monsters was a pleasure?? glad to see we had enough costume to go round! So to all the monsters, Shaun, Jamie, Damien, Andy, Stevie, Stuart, Matt, James, Marc, James, Lee...(If I've missed someone, many sorries!) Big thanks for solid parts and roleplay. Thanks Mark -------------------- Mark V, Aka OG.

Well said Mark. It was a solid fun and challenging event
Great effort from the Refs and monsters, and a fun party to roleplay with. Thanks all! Chris |

Thanks as well from me to Lee and James for a good and challenging event with lots to do and lots going on, some crazy fights to challenge our crazy tough party.
Huge thanks to the monster hoard for being battered all over the site all weekend as well, had a lot of cool fights and decent roleplay. Was nice to have a decent number of you as well. Special mention to Saint Tim for coming to site Saturday to take over the cooking and cleaning and banishing me from the kitchen, plus the yummy food provided. Final thanks for all those who helped with the big clean up at the end, especially to Greenaway who spent nearly an hour chained to the sink doing the washing up and Benson to for being the man with the mop! -------------------- Rich

Thanks to the crew for tireless work to keep us going some great moments of combat and roleplay - some real pressure to keep the combat totals coming at points which is the fun behind a healer, I enjoyed it immensely.
The party were fab various great moments with all of you, the angel of war and angel of peace were getting along so well until the ratfolk incident, personally a roleplay high point among many. Thanks for the effort from our referees keeping us busy with tonnes of event which kept us keen throughout and big props for not over doing the angst that can be driven on a goodly group via moral quandaries but just enough to prevent the complex party interactions being bland because it's all just demons / undead etc. Until next time. I definitely had my reservations about the event but in the end....what muggles?
Ref team were on the ball and kept things at a pace my body could just about manage, the monster crew for maximum effort the whole time - awesome job! Thank you all so much! of course, thanks to my very generous fellow players, was so nice seeing everyone again after a period away, took me a while to settle in again but felt really welcome. Really delayed in adding to this having been out most of last week with post event lurgy.
I huge thank you to everyone for the time and effort in dealing with the stress during the week prior to the event so we actually had an event to play and those of us who just got to turn up and play didn't have to worry about it. To the refs and tireless crew, thank you for an interesting event with more than we could manage, lots going on and a whole world of issues and dangers opening up from the plot. The monsters were relentless with varying degrees of savagery both from the stats, real world reach and the SPEAR! Some truly horror encounters right out of the gate but loved the way learning how to deal with certain foes made for quick decisions and seeming competence as we encountered them again. Many, many good moments: From the lat night downtime on Sat night with Rufus complaining about the spear and the Giant Demons, undead etc. that turned into ranged weapon strikes against him on the Sunday. The various "Noble of the Blood" Comm answers and realising early on that meant me. Not being able to really lose my IC temper all weekend and Rage fully because it was just too dangerous to not be able to cast or act calmly. The party interactions and angel of War & Peace conflict that emerged. There always being more plot questions and flavour to use Comm 2 questions on than there were ever spare questions for. That parrying more still wasn't generally enough. That Spirit Invis became a go to against the Ratfolk Runic Warriors in ways it hadn't been since I played at 1500 points. The Demonic Arena Warm-up that was more a Pay Per View Main event than an under card encounter. The moment of Horror when I thought I'd caused myself to Fall from Grace when we had been burning through a mini section with competent use of power. Ritualising a conduit for a Divine Boon from St. Michael to then not be touched by the blessing bestowed. Having paid my vitae taxes and subsequent points across the past 12 months to not get utterly ruined by many of the effects. Party, crew, refs were excellent through out and it was sad that some people didn't get to come and play and enjoy it as they intended and that we lost people over the three days due to illness and powerful thumbs. Special thanks go to Saint Treadwell for his Saturday mother exploits and to Rich for keeping people fed through out the event from start to finish. Was a great way for me to end my extended lengths this year and I am grateful to all involved in contributing to an enjoyable event. -------------------- Gordon Court
