I really need to get this case squared away before I can justify releasing the funds. Until demand picks up we'll have to continue with our current haphazard whoever's-nearest-kills-them protocol.

Thanks all for the helpful responses; it is refreshing not to have been inundated with ravings from star worshippers and similar.

All I am missing is any kind of statement from the victim.

Serin dear, there are plenty of axes available, blunt or sharp.

If anyone involved in the tunnel-murder-death-incident in Deci this evening wishes to make representations to me, they should do so. At present I have only the murderer's admittance of his guilt from which to work.

On a related note, Deci has a vacancy for an experienced axeman. Interested parties should apply at the Temple of Shaehan.

My Lord informed me of Darig's passing and my wife and I felt we should pay our respects.

Rest well, friend.

How ridiculous. I am of course aware, under the terms of our pact, whenever an outside agency attempts to interfere with it's provisions. I will accept that I may have exaggerated for comic effect but 'never', Tirama? Really?

Many thanks to Pete, Ed and Mark for last night's trip through the weirdness of Port Miere. I think we all learned something, but I'm not sure what.

Master Palewise my thanks.
Having read the details I would require a potency of the 40k mark, with both layered & reciprocal bindings.
If you would be so kind to have it ready by the 23rd of this month I would be very grateful.

Yours Radule of D'treal

Ps. If they are still available, might I trouble you for a TS of Blink and Plasma Bolt.

Again my thanks.

(ooc. If you could leave me a total I'll pop it in an envelope for you.)

I will endeavour to have it ready for the 23rd. The teaching scrolls are no problem.

Palewise

Hello

The price depends entirely on the potency required. Might I direct you to my shop, where you will find all the details?

Step this way

Hello
I am not aware of any tome connected to Michael's faith, or it's parent Church of the Creator, wherein these Words are recorded. It isn't part of our theology, as you put it, to include Destruction as part of Creation. There is a sect who worship the Creator in that manner, but they are no longer a part of this church. We do hold sacred - and abhorant -
certain names; the true name of the Creator on the one hand, and the true name of the Destroyer on the other. These are words of power, as are all true names. I don't believe they are commonly recorded, although those higher in Michael's grace than I may know better. In my experience it is plain upon hearing them spoken what it is you have heard, and so they are not often written down.

What with the world being what it is, one is forced to accept that there are many truths, even some which appear to be contradictory. I have heard several creation myths in my time and seen proof that more than one of them is correct. I think it was Hieronymous Rad who said that 'Belief creates Archaeology'.

I think it's a linguistic issue - if one uses a different language to express an idea, it is largely impossible to directly translate and so the listener's perception of reality is changed. Given that we each have in our world view a unique 'language' and that reality is very much defined by our perception, we can see that all these things can be true, and not true, at the same time.

I'm not sure that helps much, but there you are.

Just to confirm, I will be organising a BBQ, if players want to chip in £5 each I will get all the relevant bits that should be able to cover crew as well. I am aware of Jasper, Huw and Rebecca's dietary requirements, if any others have them that I will need to know get in touch.

I have also gained us 4 more monsters smile.gif

Only just read this properly - sounds like a good plan.

Pre-8th all day dungeons are a bit of a bore for those who cant fight and only have a very low number of power points for anything. By lunch time you've spent all your mana etc...

Pre-8th dungeons should be single lengths (and tbh old school single lengths, about 2/3 of the length of a modern 21st century section). Why referees stopped giving people levels and power back on pre-8ths is a mystery to me. Most of the complaints people have about the pre-8th system is that wizards don't have enough mana, etc, but the solution doesn't have to be scrapping the whole thing, you could always just run them as the single lengths for which the system was 'designed'*.

Such scant forgiveness, Reason. For a creature who claims to be a mere extension of its goddess' will you seem capable of being selective when it suits. Perhaps I was wrong about you and you would have made a fitting High Priest after all.

I would argue that a High Priest who is a vitae-less corpse is no High Priest at all. To be honest whilst he's not a patch on Torwin I'd be happy to leave Tirama to it of only for the amusement of his occasional attempts to excommunicate me, but he can't be the Voice of Shaehan if he's permanently dead. How long do we wait? A month? Two? A year? Until Shaehan starts to wither?

I know, Ignatius, you're right*. It's usually just me being abused.

To be clear this isn't any kind of attempt for me to take the role - been there, done that, had the accusations thrown - but I do think** that it is important for someone to fill the position in order for the faith to flow properly through the Nagrech. I suspect if we leave Shaehan without a High Priest in the interim, we will see Her weakened. My personal power is secured against such variations but I doubt the same is true of the least of our number.

Prior of Deci and happy to remains so.

*about this one thing, everything else you believe is still ridiculous
**by 'think' I of course mean 'know'.

All

Lady Shaehan requires a new High Priest, it seems. My scrying wards tell me that no-one has attacked me by theocratic means for a few hours, which can mean only one thing.

I think I could probably get some friends in the Knights of the Land to lend us their potato, if that would suit?

If for some reason you fail to find anyone else, I'll be able to resurrect your friend. Don't worry about finding me (I'd prefer that you didn't), I'll just do it from here.
