From this great article https://nordiclarp.org/2015/03/02/bleed-the...-and-character/
Role-players sometimes experience moments where their real life feelings, thoughts, relationships, and physical states spill over into their characters’ and vice versa. In role-playing studies, we call this phenomenon bleed. Whats your opinion on it? Does it exist? Is a positive/negative thing? For examples if you get PVP'd because of your characters beliefs, do you take it personally or dismiss as good RP ? But in the same token, the feeling of achieving something big game can give you a tremendous buzz in real life... -------------------- Marcos

I find that the getting killed ic if done in a rubbish way can be a downer but being attacked and murdered is part of the game. But tbh good rp deaths are epicly awesome.
I think the bleed to ooc for ic achievements is natural and to be encouraged. I have had times where ooc stuff has bled in to the ic... few years ago I had a death in the family and the next IC event a friends character perm'ed and the emotions from ooc came to the surface and I had to excuse myself from the game to allow myself time to calm down. It happens. In a game that counts on the imagination of all involved it is good to have a bit of bleed here and there. All that being said, if people allow bleed to affect who and how they interact with others ooc then they need to time a moment to remind themselves of what us real and what is a game.
