The tall druid stood before the taller stones that marked the gate to Armastas. Even now, though no threat clearly present, lightning played through his eyes as he surveyed the land before him. Sitting cross legged before the gate he cast his own rune stones, reading the pattern as they fell, those eyes dancing from scratching to scratching.
A twig snapped. He looked up, the lack of surprise on his face perhaps attributed to what he had just read. Two humans in bedraggled clothes carrying a rather suspiciously large bag between them were approaching. They sported that rather toothless grins and desperate laughter of men whose minds were not all there. As they approached and Corvus stood they paused. He looked at the new arrivals, his head tilted slightly. No... they were not here to pay their respects. They were here to loot. The stones had told him. Lightning flashed down from a previously cloudless, now dark sky. Corvus turned and sat once more, cross legged as the ash steamed gently on the ground. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
