Imperial Cities The cities in a pocket, hoping not to be offensive, nutshell: Alguz- Home of the Talthar (goodly) church. On a big river (the Alg) and floods a lot. Up north. Made a deal with the furries so they get on ok. Bildteve - Costal town to the West. Quite morally dark. Rains a lot. Smells of fish. Home to the hardest dock workers in the Empire (they do 6 generally) Deci - dark cesspit of the Empire, whose hobbies include murdering their friends, enemies or complete strangers, then stealing from the corpses whilst trying to avoid being stabbed. Apart from the occasional ruff diamond. Home to one of the Empires premier spin doctors. Sinister conspiracies and wide Eastender accents a must. At least 80% of the population are, or have been called, 'Shadow' at some point in their life. Eartholme - Brown. Neutral. Home to the brown mana dragon. Fantastic if you're a brown mana user, noble or local. Possibly dull otherwise. Very (very) bad place to be a blue mana user. Big stompy brown mana golems, who hit very hard (and the governor is desperately trying to teach to use missile weapons) Almost entirely subterranean apart from the bits where outsiders generally go. Gothiel - Heartlands, near Halgar. Home to the Elbereth faith of goodly folk. Generally affected by a rite in the main city that makes evil folks itch and be most uncomfortable. Lots of food and scrumpy drinking till the early morning, blessing Elbereth. City of Keys - 'Newtown' trading capital in the Far Far North. Lots and lots of money, generally a good place to be if you're a merchant. 'Problems' with the Tribal folk leading back to an issue over the site where the city was built... Port Miere - Pirate -sorry- 'free enterprise zone' just of the Eastern coast of the Empire. Salty heart of gold types, with lots of marshes and holes to "the 'nacht" Run by 'Rivan' ... but doubtless you'll hear more of him later... Mordreds Rest - Very small city which was created as a home to Knights of the Land. Which Rivan currently runs (the guild, not the city..) A hearty city of battle and adventurer types Scarlene - Big city, on the East coast. Heavily into trading with a mittlenacht version of it'self. Likes fish, has a massive celebration twice a year called 'the festival of fish' Lots of bird dung. Sellaville - Small, but hardy city on the Southern boarder. Previously one of the Magiocracies, hugely powerful but then spent just over a year in hell after being put there by it's governor and was then rescued by mercenaries. Now a shell of it's former self, with very few but very hardy locals who don't forget what happened to them and are always ready for the worst. Still has the rubble from it's previous life taking over an entire quarter called 'the Tip' Thimon - A curious mix of sinister dark spirit users and a highly profitable goodly merchant, the city has a massive population of 'not-quite-undead' (the Nightsoil) and Ratfolk. Home of the "almost-but-not-quite" inedible thimon pickle, with the consistency of leather. And last but by no means least - Halgar - Capital of the Empire and home to the Throne of glass, buried deep within "The inner city of Halgar" (The home of the Empresses beauracracy and government, protected by massive rites) Strongly loyal population, yet curiously prone to civil unrest. Surrounded by a massive lake from which most of the rivers of the Empire flow, with massive walls and only one bridge... The home of politics, intrigue and paperwork -------------------- Damn I love muggles

The original post was from 1st November 2007 and it was probably copied from the old site so may have been even older. Peter -------------------- Peter Smith

I think there are volcanoes in the mountain range South of Sellaville. I cannot remember the name, but there is a map at the front desk. It's not perfect but this is the sort of thing the wikki is good at: http://www.labywiki.co.uk/index.php?title=...lcano&go=Go Unfortunately the volcano isn't mentioned on the Sellaville page, but it's there. Yep, there is asingle massive volcano in the Brandins, south of Sellaville, the Elemental Fount of Power for the Red Mana Dragon and where the Magiocracy of Seval drew most of its power for fuelling its fire rites.

I think the Labywiki is a wee bit more up to date.
