Young ones, as my mind is not what it once was I thought it prudent to make a record of our travels so events are not lost. I write only what I remember seeing, please add to it as you may. I would take nothing for granted and consider nothing as known for certain.

1. The Mines

The mines of stonehaven were inhabited by a tribe of various creatures such as orcs, trolls, goblins and at least one ogre. This tribe whilst once living now dwell in some sort of undead state. This state is nothing like that which I have seen before as they seem to retain their memories but now hunger for blood to feed them.
The tribe consisted of a witchdoctor who wielded white magics and as is the way of things a shaman who served dark powers.

Having battled through the mines we came across a large crystal that glowed green. Words were spoken, I forget quite exactly what, something about powers of light releasing, and when they were the tribe seemed to become free to leave the mines. Those who followed the shaman, some 20 or so? left seeking blood whilst the others remained.
It was unclear how the crystal came to be there and for what exact purpose. There was talk about it restraining the tribe until they were ready, ready for what is unclear.

We also conversed with a pair of winter elves who had been hunting outside the mines when they were overcome by a power that they could not remember. The next thing they knew is being within the mines. They like the tribe were mastered so as they could not reveal anything about who possessed them. We had also come across a large 1/2 ogre earlier in the day whose task it seemed to be was to find other tribal creatures to take back into the mine so they could be raised as undead and be added to the tribes ranks.

What was said by the Chieftain, I think, is that someone or something had come and quickly slain all of the tribe.

2. The House of Stonehaven

The house itself glowed green with some sort of ritual. It was said by the fine blue wizard, who's name is lost to me, that he had visions of a being, undead I recall, making notes of events that transpired here or perhaps all over Stonehaven?

We soon came across Jeremiah's sister who was trapped in a foul state, skipping upon her entrails. To free her we had to make a choice, a choice of her dying or becoming undead in a similar manner to the tribe. She to was possessed. Her mind stated that she preferred undeath than nothing and so this is what came to pass. It was a choice made with only her in mind.

The house was composed of a series of seemingly staged and linked events as in order to make this choice we had to locate an orb something which was only done after answering many questions of a teacher, obtaining a missing card from a watch captain, obtaining an amulet after playing a card game, using the amulet to locate a book, returning the book to be given the orb.

As we ventured to the top level of the house we came across a guardian to Tobias' chambers. We possessed the guardian and told him to leave. He tried but collapsed and died as soon as he tried to flee. From his being rose a creature of undeath and then one of neuronic power which were both slain. Unfortunately we then came across this guardian again and whilst he was slain the creature of undeath required a spiritual blade or powers which we no longer had so we retreated.

Scryings and summonations then revealed that beyond the guardian lay Tobias who was ritually trapped. To free him required a choice to be made, on the one hand he could be raised as an undead to continue his reign as master of the house or alternatively he could die in which case somewhere a father with two daughters would die.

We did not have the power to return to Tobias' chambers so it was agreed we would return.

It would appear that by subsequent events that Tobias was slain. I have pondered on what happened next and sadly it would appear that the choice was no lie as there are now two daughters without a father.

I am afraid I cannot see much these days, but with what power I do have I intend to scry upon the location of the two daughters for I fear for their future. No little one should be without their family, whilst I cannot for now make it as it once was they should not have to suffer more than they have.

Yours

Grukk or Groll

To those who plan to answer Jeremiah's request for assistance I thought it prudent to inform you that the shaman who I believe leads the tribe has taken up residence within what once was a goodly temple. Unfortunately Groll has been fixated on chasing sheep these past weeks so my time for scrying has been limited and there have been other tasks I wished him to attend to. However I can say that I believe that the temple's altar could be consecrated once more and that this would help us against the shaman. To do so would require either 3 simultaneous readings of a bless scroll or a ritual carried out by 2 of a goodly faith, whilst I saw a vision of a priest and paladin performing this ritual I'm unsure if it could just be two paladins or priests etc. It may therefore be wise to either bring some scrolls or practice your ritual arts.

I imagine some spiritual blades would be most handy but this is merely an educated guess.

In regard to the stone that has gone missing then I cannot see where this has gone, I sensed it reappeared in the Heartlands and from there is closed to me. I cannot tell who is behind its disappearance, as I could not the vanished townsfolk. It would be unsurprising if both matters were linked in some way.
Given that I sensed it reappeared in the Heartlands then perhaps I shall dwell on where and when at a later date.

Young ones

We saw much last starsday. As such I thought it prudent to update my observations as a point of reference which I hope may be useful. There are many threads to the events that are unfolding, some threads I think will be long, some short, some new, some old and some which may disappear entirely. How what we do changes the cloth is unclear as I feel there are many with designs on what shall one day be worn.

First I shall write of what was done.

Our hiring by Jeremiah Stonehaven was interrupted by priests who stated they were from the 'Order of the Eternal Light'. They quickly sort to kill our undead colleague. They were slain and I believe their bodies taken to the mines to be reanimated and used as miners.

We met them again on our travels and it appeared that they had struck down the tribe that lived within the Stonehaven mine. We interrupted a battle between them and the tribes witchdoctor who was, understandably, most angered at the death of his brethren. As we faced off against the priests I sensed that they were being forced against their true will to act as they were. I took over the mind of one of them but he soon collapsed after seemingly, given the blood erupting from his nose and ears, being struck by the power of the mind. Whether this was as an inbuilt mechanism of the temporarily overruled possession or the direct work of the possessor made aware of what i did I do not know. Regardless, it would take great power to do what was done. We did our best to explain what we thought was occurring to the reminder of the group who then left with their fallen colleague.

We slew the former shaman of the tribe who dwelt within the Stonehaven mines. He had been gathering strength and raiding villages around Stonehaven. He had taken up refuge within a once goodly temple but after some initial difficulties was killed along with many of this followers in the crypt below the temple. The temple was turned back to the light by two of our group, Da and a fellow priest whose name escapes me, as do most it seems.

Having dispatched the shaman we were asked by Jeremiah Stonehaven to involve ourselves in assisting with the creation of some ritual defenses that would help protect the now rather wealthy village from harm. This involved meeting with a gentleman called Valkarian who was I believe a Chronomancer. He stated that some 6 months prior an event, he seemed unsure what, meant that the use of temporal magics had become easier. He had thus been able to create a rite which would help defend the village by the use of such magics (ie give a great warning when foes were present, confound foes somehow etc). For the rite to be successful it had to flow through (apologies Groll mind was understandably rather tired at this point, as was mine) a place called the Halls of Time. Unfortunately the rite was being blocked within the Halls which was where we, the would-be unblockers, came in.

We were sent to the Halls but I shall not dwell much on what was seen here now for this place is I think a great thread in what is being woven or perhaps, more likely it is not a thread but something more, perhaps the cloth maker's manual yet unwritten.

Suffice to say for the moment that the rite was being blocked by many different creatures, each seemingly being drawn to the Halls power. We faced armored men, an angel overcome with greed who was feasting on the rites power, strange elemental creatures, men driven mad and others. Each challenge we overcame until the rite flowed through the Halls. After the flow was unblocked the rite, or perhaps this part of the Hall was attuned to Primus.

We also came across an evil creature who was offering to empower artefacts in exchange for an invitation to primus, I am unsure how this invitation worked but it seemed just as stated. Some in our group were eager for such trinkets and offered such an invitation before i discovered that this creature sought power on primus and this may well be to the detriment of the innocent.

I must leave now for Starsday took much out of Groll and I. I hope this has been of some assistance. I shall try to list the separate threads soon.
