HIRING NOTICE

I would like to hire steady and reliable individuals, ideally those who have worked for me before to find and retrieve objects and information. It is a task best suited to those able to investigate and explore unfamiliar surroundings and who are able to defend themselves as a group. Familiarity with Arylian philosophy may yield dividends. Pay will be the usual 2 Crowns for a full days work and involve transportation with an extra Crown available for results and success. Come prepared to travel through forest and above and below mountain. The hire will take place this Ansday. Those interested should come to my tower on Krinthos.

Ruling on the murder of Trel of the Circle by Clive of Dead Heroes.

No one has suggested anything other than that Clive was not acting of his own volition due to a wave of power that made individuals strike out at those they believed to be less worthy. I find that whilst Clive killed Trel he did not murder him, he was acting under an effect that suborned his will. Given that there was no way that any of the group could have been aware of this wave, it seems to have been unfortunate, regrettable but accidental. As such Clive is free to go on his way. However if the group are journeying again, as has been indicated, I will expect them or their hirer to take steps so that they don't perceive one of their number as less worthy. It may be as little as a trip to the tailors so that all dress in equal finery or some sort of precaution that all are dominated to hold each other in equal esteem. Any future judgements with regards to this effect will be considerably less lenient If I think no one has made any effort or taken steps to ensure all are held in equally high esteem.

You simply need an appropriate receptacle and then need to persuade spirits that are willing to abide in it. Could you elaborate further on your observation 'that the souls of old heroes are currently at risk of being forgotten' - presumably there is some threat? Is it some sort of Levity?

Off the top of my head - in a version - the Needles was the place the first humans on Primus came to before they reached Primus. Since then, over time it became a place where flotsam and jetsam collected, lost things, lost people, fleeing and foiled villains would briefly wind up there before consolidating and heading off to plan their next nefarious scheme. The place itself is little more than large pillars of rock jutting out from the sea, it's fairly inhospitable, those hardy souls who live there exist mainly on what they can salvage from the sea, stretching their nets from outcrop to outcrop and gathering what the sea gives up. I'm paraphrasing but I investigated it back in HotE and it was something like that, Miles might know more as I'm pretty sure he ran something high there, likewise Ed or Stacey ran or wrote something lower.

Please could I remind the good people of Sweethaven that this Sunsday will see The Annual Final Dawn Jam Competition, which will be held in The Duke's Head as usual (and ratified by popular vote). Those wishing to enter should bring their entry in good time to be judged on the morning of Sunsday. Those wishing to act as judges should also arrive in the morning. Whilst we are hoping Lord Ward will attend, it should be noted that any citizen of Sweethaven is eligible to judge the jam competition, being as it is by popular vote.
