Is this for Sunday 18th?
If so it will be my second ever outing and an assassin - however don’t read much into that as I’m learning more than playing still!

If there’s and event on 19th that I didn’t see on the list just ignore what I said as I won’t be there!

Yeah, Martin means 18/11 - This Sunday

Thanks to Lee, Fi, James, Stuart and Tim T for a fun day Sunday! 6 down now and 3 left to do.

I think it was our cunningly sly way of getting another dungeon out of campaign wink.gif

Lord Woodrow,

Unfortunately, I don't know the location within the lands of Amlas the monastery was in. The mystical transportation device we used transported us to a location you focused on rather than having a named location to go to.

In regards to Jammy's death, I didn't see what happened bar Jammy's body lying on the floor and Avondale standing above him as it happened incredibly quickly. I did however hear the creature that mastered Jammy and order him to attack his allies, plus the sound of him rushing into the room the rest of the party were in to attack them. I assume as it happened so quickly there was no time for Avondale to subdue Jammy and that without his swift actions, Jammy may have caused more death or injury to our group.

Both Jammy and Avondale had defended our small party with great skill throughout the day and both continued to stand side by side as sword brothers after Jammy had been restored to life so all had been forgiven.

I am sure the others in the group will provide greater detail if they saw whole event.

Logan Fisher

QUOTE(chrisC @ Oct 19 2018, 09:48 PM) *
I can confirm Avondale's statement is correct as I witnessed this deed. Jammy Twohands was the mercenary slain as he attacked us under his dark orders. I resurrected Jammy afterwards who appeared to have no memory of the event on his return. I have traveled with Jammy before and know him to be a man of good heart and honor but a trained soldier as well, so i was very glad for Avondale's swift action in this matter.

Apologies but I do not know our exact location as we were magically transported there for a short period of time. Logan Fisher organised the expedition and may be able to be more specific on the location.

Thanks to Lee, Fi and Stevie for today's joint guild special and to the small party of 5 (increasing to 6 at various points through the day! smile.gif )

Sorting three of rites was decent effort but does mean there are 6 left so may possible need additional dungeon or out source one or more of other demons if need be.

Also not many people that played last two dungeons can make next booked date of 04/11/18, so Lee will be sending some more date of when he may possibly be free.

Thanks,

Alan

Folks,

Are there any kind souls out there that would be willing to crew Sunday 14/10 joint guild specials?

Join Lee's undead/demonic horde to scary the living daylights out of the party!

Can offer reffing/crewing favours in return.

Thanks,

Alan

I agree with Ryan as he did say 'type of contracts' and gave good example of Kallah Lord. IMHO titles or roles would be more public than most contracts as whole thing about those type of contracts is self promotion in that role through IC history and future behaviour when doing contract though there are clearly those may not fit this e.g. trying get title of Primus's most skilled Assassin, as you wouldnt want everyone to know IC it was you. I think anything that you could hear IC through word of mouth e.g. someone discussing a character doing something amazing towards a IC title or role should mean the contact becomes public. CP contracts are an OOC mechanism but if going for a IC title/role where you have to behave in a certain way to achieve that role then its weird if no one else in the IC World hears about it.
If someone wants to be head of a guild and is trying to oust the current leader (due to that character having not played in years) members of that guild would likely be aware it was going to happen or someone was working towards leadership. If you then had two or more people competing, it would become clear and members of the guild wouldn't be surprised by change in leadership, current guild head would be aware of coup, and other players with same contract would be aware they would need to be more active/loud about their own leadership bid. You would then avoid two or more players all competing for same title/role without knowing and getting upset their efforts towards the contract seem wasted.

Once public, you could then gain IC support for that role (Possibly even gain CP's from other players promoting you as 'insert title') and rivals could then either go all in against you or bow out.

CP contracts are definitely a grey area as OOC you are unlikely to know about them and it would be large & boring admin task to publish all of them but IC people would likely hear about I.C. Weiner trying to become Baron of Wallastovia not mater how secretively he want about it.

I'd be aggrieved if I had done a few dungeons gaining CP's and then discovered someone had pipped me to the post. If I had been aware, I'd have had the opportunity to try & play more dungeons before 'race had ended' or alter my current CP contract so I was understudy or something similar.

The examples of CP contracts in latest Almanac are good e.g. someone wants to be know as bravest warrior etc so anyone on that dungeon would have seen brave behaviour. NPC's and PC's in party would be chin-wagging about it.

Perhaps have secret/non-published contract up to a point of CP's (Say half CP in contract or 2/3) then more people are aware and it is posted on boards? Turns OOC into IC awareness or maybe refs should post more stories in World Whispers so even if CP contract isn't published you are giving massive IC clues that I.C. Weiner is much loved by peasants of Wallostovia who all want him to be Baron.

Just need something to blend OOC and IC together more but very much depends on contract tbh.

Can anyone direct me to the details so far regarding the Final Dawn 2018 please? I know it is 27/28th December. Do we know the two thresholds please? My wife needs to book her shifts for work over Xmas and has actually said she is fine with me doing both days of FD.
Thank you for any help with this

It's in latest Almanac page 3. Play one crew one. Day 1 max 7.5k aimed at min. of 3k and day 2 3k max with aim being any character can play though below 750 would be challenge.

This Saturday there is a joint guild special booked with In Purity. There's still a few players spaces open and could always do with some more crew.

So book on so we can battleboard the advanced tier again!

I know there are a few non lo-thi characters that didn't do last dungeon either booked or wanting to book on to play which is cool. As previous post the hiring hall will be a big old tent/yurt which is centre of a tented settlement around some shattered standing stones and the ruins of what looked like a evil looking hunting lodge. Imagine you have all chatted to Lee about your reasons for being there e.g. helping Lo-Thi and may or may not have been given info on what happened last time and what you are doing. There isn't a hirer as such (unless Lo-thi are paying you) but feel free to chat IC in hall beforehand, just dont move anything set there.

Anyone that has brought new apps I haven't seen or anyone booking on that didn't play last dungeon should make sure you have them on the day so I can view them.

Ideally, I could do with any crew member so if there is anyone out there that fancies crewing only adult dungeon of the day, please book on smile.gif

See you all Saturday!

As you don't have a social guild board, just posting here an OOC debrief/brief as to what has happened between the last dungeon and Saturdays upcoming dungeon.

End of last dungeon - Watching Owl successfully blocked off portal/gateway to the demonic pocket plane of Predavec the Enlightened so that nothing from the other side can pass through. A thorough search was made for surviving members of the Thunderhoof tribe but none were found. The ruins of the demonic hunting lodge and shattered standing stones has now become a sort of tent refuge for any tribe that has been assaulted by the Knights of Civilisation or Predavec's demons. The Lo-Thi's tent/yurt dominates the centre of this settlement. At first there were many distance sightings of the Knights of Civilisation. It was as if they were trying to discover what had happened to the hunting lodge and they backed off whenever they were approached. This is very out of character as the Knights who never normally give up the opportunity to hunt/attack those they deemed unworthy/uneducated. Tribal refugees that have come to the camp still reporting of hunts and finding the corpses of those slain by the Knights. Scrying has revealed that the Knights are currently under order not to attack the ruins/tent settlement but to harass the surrounding tribes instead and drive survivors towards the ruins. No answer is given/can be found as to why though. Those orders have come from a man called Carlton Rosner, the current head of the cult, and the man responsible for using an ancient scripture to open the portal between Primus and the demonic pocket plane of Predavec the Enlightened. Any scrying about the man himself is blocked though investigation (looking through historic documents/word of mouth) reveals he is a noble of the blood of the House Rosner. This house has often held very strong views on how to deal with the tribes and the 'criminal' waste of resources that could be taken from the North.

Present day - Anyone that participated on last dungeon is still plagued by strange dreams/nightmares of battles between the stallion with hooves crackling with lighting, and the figure clad in Obsidian armour, with a strange crown upon his head (Which you all believe to be Predavec). Strange mists have been seen near/surrounding the portal but they also seem to be held back by the wardings of Watching Owl. Scrying about the mists are limited but reveal they are likely some form of defence ritual cast on the other side of the warding and you believe you could create protections against the mists on the day you seek to travel through them (Doing it before wouldn't work as nature of mists changing so any ritual you did now would be wasted). Any scrying about what is on the other side of the portal is blocked bar the it is indeed a way to the pocket plane of Predavec the Enlightened. Scrying about the demon reveals -
Predavec the Enlightened is a demon lord with similar views to the Knights of Civilisation. Any tribal folk slain in his name, join his ever-growing undead army of tormented souls, which once powerful enough, he seeks to unleash. Predevac the Enlightened has been empowering the Knights and given them the ability to summon demonic hunting lodges to Primus on the sites of tribal or earthpower significance, sapping their power and then ultimately destroying them e.g. like the standing stones and the Thunderhoof tribe. He ultimate goal is to rid Primus of all tribal creatures and users of earthpower. He has done this on other worlds which are now dominated by massive stone cities with little to no natural resources unplundered or used with society heavily influenced by self-interest and greed and total disregard for damage/destruction being wrought on their worlds.

Saturday - I have the Hiring Hall booked all day and that will represent the large tent/yurt at the centre of the tent settlement surrounding the ruins of the demonic hunting lodge. If you get in there before me, please don't move anything as it will be set but you know tent/yurt is safe and what is there is 'yours'. Anyone that has brought new apps I haven't seen or anyone booking on that didn't play last dungeon should email me on elfie3662@yahoo.co.uk and make sure you have them on the day so I can view them. Unfortunately, I haven't got same super crew team I had last time but will hopefully have 2 of the 3 but if anyone owes you any crewing favours, please ask as more the merry.

Happy to take pre-dungeon lucky ideas/comms but forewarn you that replies maybe limited/slow as have super crazy week at work next week.

Thanks,

Alan

Thanks to Lee & the crew for a very enjoyable well stated and crewed dungeon. Great plot and lots to think about for next couple of dungeons. Looking forward to Stotesbury translating all those scrolls! wink.gif

The next dungeons are 14/10/8 max 750, and 04/11 max 1k. There are still plenty of spaces left for both players and crew smile.gif

Alan G - Blue Wizard (KE only)
Brett N
Zak M
Matthew J
Matt W
Andrew G - Red Warlock (KE)
Stuart K - Pure Priest/Exorcist (IP)
Dave S - Lots Paladin (IP & KE)
Carl - LotS WP (IP)

Looking forward to it!

I may be able to make you the Shadowblade papers you require but alas I am not available for some weeks. If you still need such a scroll in the future, I would be willing to make one.

Huge thanks to Stuart and his monster crew for a fun day! Engaging and intriguing plot, with lots of effort put into dungeon. I would encourage anyone that wants a super dungeon to book on to next ones in July & August as you will have a blast.

Think I have only ever seen one person do it at Laby which is a shame.

You want to go on a Bloody Corsairs dungeon. Always singing.

Matt and Rebecca have great singing voices as heard them both on a few dungeons.

As per my post here and Brett's own posts in this group, there is a joint GS booked for 22/09.

Currently has 7 players booked and ideally we have sufficient numbers for it to count as GS for both guilds come the day. To ensure everyone is aware of dungeon and books on, here's another post smile.gif

Church has healthy blow-up date of July 2021 but you currently cannot battleboard top tier so need a GS asap.

There was also talk of making guild eternal so if there is enough interest, we should look at that as well.

Thanks,

Alan

Even though I have the day off and am completely knackered from extremely enjoyable weekend, my body has decided it wants to be awake so thought I would post a huge thanks to fantastic four ref team and monster horde!

Very good well statted and well crewed event to secure trade for Jin & Tanic and get the famed Von Lackstien liqueur. The party were great fun. We worked well together and had lots of laughs.

There were a lot of great moments and I am sure I forgot a few but highlights for me -

Birthday Boy Benson's awesome map brought the lands of Von Lackstien to life brilliantly and I was truly impressed by time and effort that had been put into prop.

The rolling of the dice to open up the paths and party desperately trying to remember if we had that number before and what we had encountered.

So much choice for party as we sought to pinch bits of the map to secure a decent footing in the Barony. Being able to split party and still have enough crew to keep us on our toes and set more than one encounter at time was great.

Empowering the locations we had on the map with as much power as possible to defend them and see various groups appear to claim lands. Gnome Wizards and Angels with Sabres of Light & Truth being my favourites.

Having my body stolen by the Sprite defences we had at the Lodge as the party rushed to stop them and then reappearing having to brought back to life by them.

The roaming rabble of the revolution!

'How was your pizza' question wink.gif

The morning attack when I went off for a twinkle and was suddenly confronted by the monsters sneaking up the hallway. Straight back in the room for get everyone out of bed for fight!

The final encounter was awesome with nearly everyone out of power, dead or unconscious people scattered about, a monster horde surrounding a dwindle group huddling around a tree like Custer's Last Stand and the immense feeling of relief when the final big bad guy hit the deck.

Definitely need an afternoon nap!
