Merry Meet,

It brings me sad news, to inform you all of the last death of the well known Rasha - Harley Skinner.

If you've defended a cottage in the past few years, he has probably been there cooking you food. Cleaning the kitchen, and cleaving your enemies with his axe. Always tidying up after himself (and others) along the way.

He was a great companion, jovial, reliable (well, unless he was playing Amlasian Chairs) and always on hand to lighten the mood and provide food and drink when you were feeling a little down, or battered by hordes of demons (or goats, apparently).

He died forever to save some souls we otherwise couldn't have rescued without some sort of sacrifice. Penny had offered and was about to do it, but in true Harley, classy style - he waited for her to use the privvy to jump in her place, to take the souls and thus sacrificing his own. There was no argument, he just got on with it, saving both innocent souls and one of his dearest friends.

As usual, he seemed pretty happy about the whole thing. After all... if your heaven was a place you were able to get drunk in, it's not so bad. And he deserved a rest, he spent his life working very hard.

Enjoy the top shelf Harley, don't get in too much trouble and see you in the next cottage.

Blessed Be,

Gully

Harley was a thoroughly decent chap.

I met him on a Tuesday evening when I was lured into an Inn by the smell of delicious and varied deep fried products.

We went on do a little mercenarying that night and he proved to be a stalwart warrior as well as a great provider of provisions and treats.

I shall have some Baronies Fried Chicken in his honour.

He was a great man.
I hope he is back soon.
I have a drink and a chair waiting.

What can I say?
A hero that has gone in my book.

A great friend, a great party planner,
a great man to be around.

Once a simple wood cutter, then the watch
Captain of Rodanne.

Myself and Tristan are going to procure and
open an Inn in Rodanne, called the “Harleys Retreat”
as testimont to his heroism.

With affection
Wiggle

We travelled quite a bit together - he cooked, I ate. We fought side by side - he had a massive axe, I had a big shield. We fought in the Gauntlet gladiator combat as a tag team. I will miss him. I really like the idea of a tavern with his name on it - I can supply the lumber.Well then, a toast to Harley Skinner and hot snacks.

It was many years ago now I first travelled to Eruldine and was taken in with a group (Gully included) by the hospitality of Gieldan in his famed Tavern. It wasn't then I met Harley but I met some of his people and they were always in good cheer glad to feast, drink and hear the tales of travellers.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the hospitality of the Rasha until meeting Harley this past week, it was like he had brought a small piece of the Tavern with him, the charm, the cheer and the high spirits. Truly he personified the spirit of his people and I thank him for reminding me of that place and most of all for his sacrifice. It was a brave act he faced with a smile, knowing he had done the right thing to save others was it's own reward for him.

Peace be with you always (or at least until you put down the tankard and come back from your Heaven).

Did wonder what happened over the weekend. Always a shame to see a solid mercenary fall, let alone someone you can consider a partner. A fine person as everybody has exclaimed, more than just a food and drink enabler. There’s a lot people owe him for his achievements.

As the wheel turns, and all that.

A little late with this I'm afraid - I've been trying to think on the best words to say what with the loss of a thoroughly top bloke and friend to boot. Seems like others have beaten me to it - but good for them. Actually good for Harley - cos I can't think of no nicer a person, and am happy he brought such hope and cheer to others.

Always happy to help, and make sure hot snacks were on hand.

I met him first of all on an adventure - and would like to think we hit it off pretty well right from the get go (am sure our conversation about third breakfasts helped no end!). Then when his year travellin' Primus was up, he jumped at the chance to help out Rodanne and - tabbards aside - did a great job of recruitin' lads and lasses for the Watch - he also kept an eye on several unseemly goings on and gently suggested they best stop. (Turns out a massive axe and a whet stone can be a negotiatin' game changer).

There are a few empty buildings (one a tavern) on Girdle street, so Wiggle and Tristan you are more than welcome to take it for the “Harley's Retreat” should you wish. Its a fine old building like most of Rodanne in the magocracy style, in a little disrepair (but Gantrick timber is very good for such work) - it also has a separate feasting hall, a big kitchen - and small ish doors (in case it needs defendin') as well as some rooms upstairs. Pop by and we will be sure to sort it all out.

Anyways - rest well Harley, enjoy your time at the feast but do hurry back - Mrs W is already plannin' a slap up feast in your honour - and well we want to you be there to enjoy it !!!

Your friend,

Wick.
