One of the warehouse districts in northern Scarlene was the site of much commotion this Moonsday. A small group of Merchants, and members of the watch were seen in heated discussions about the security of the site, after it seems, multiple burglaries had taken place over the weekend.

Sid Strangleton, of Sid's Emporium of Mystical Wares and Potions, has confirmed that his warehouse, along with several others, were apparently stripped bare of everything of value. "Months of brewing, and whole batches of Potions...simply gone" He states. Other Merchants, affected by this refused to comment on specifics of what was taken, but having happened on a weekend, Mercenaries, seem to be the favoured culprits.

Dock Supervisor, Simone Surefoot, was questioned by authorities, having been found in a gutter after apparently spending most of Sunsday in the local taverns. But no further charges have been filed against her at this time. Other workers on site, have confirmed the presence of a mercenary group but, and I quote, "They just seemed to be killing time... played a couple hands of cards with us while we waited, in case anyone wanted anything moved".

The Watch, are looking for statements from the mercenary group, consisting of a Rat, a couple of beggars, and a tattooed man, as yet none have come forward, and authorities are hopeful that they can shed further light on the situation and the investigation can proceed.

"Quite simply, we haven't much to go on at this time, we are hoping the Mercenaries who visited the area come forward." Watch Captain Delroy.

In related news, members of the Department of Recoveries and Collections were seen transporting a great deal of equipment out of Warehouse 14. However, they refused to comment on the matter, and no claims have been made by them about missing items from their warehouse. However, this reporter believes that they simply don't trust the security of the site, and are moving things elsewhere.

Local resident, Sally Firebrandt, was seen with the DORAC officials, she too, apparently doesn't trust the local watch, as she was seen hiring workers to help clear out one of her offices nearby. A great loss to the mercenary community, in the area, as she was a fine scribe of magical scrolls. Here's hoping she continues to provide the community of her new dwelling just as well.

In closing, I've been informed that Marius Ruffles, is offering a blowout sale on locks, and security artefacts, available at his shop, Security First, Low Street, Docklands, Scarlene. This offer is sure to end soon, so you'd best hurry!
