Port Miere: Anomalies Present & Resolved

Summary:

Number of Anomalies Present: 40
Number of Anomalies Resolved: 32

Those marked in italics are the anomalies that have been seconded to Inquisitor Grey and his mercenaries.

Present Anomalies:

Anomaly #2

Location: The Citadel, Cellar
Nature: Secundal Reflection
Notes: Reflection of Salas of the Deep’s ritual chamber, from which the Rite of the Ocean’s Claim was cast. Anchor believed to be Louhi, formerly of the Chosen Five.

Anomaly #11

Location: The Citadel, Courtyard
Nature: Unknown
Notes: Full of water and undead, previously a Divine Haven for two of the Pantheon of Seven.

Anomaly #27

Location: Houses by the Eastern Wall
Nature: Unknown
Notes: A number of dwellings have become full of a supernatural mist leaving them uninhabitable. Creatures formed of mist have been occasionally seen floating through the streets nearby.

Anomaly #28

Location: Oval building by Citadel
Nature: Secundal Reflection
Notes: Examining this anomaly through the map shows an adult man, of noble dress, held within some kind of prison. We do not believe the prison to be literal, rather the map's articulation of the nature of the anomaly.

Anomaly #29

Location: Corner building by Citadel
Nature: Unknown
Notes: This building has been taken over by a group of unsavoury characters who, impressively, have proven tough enough even to keep the Reavers out. We are unable to discern anything about the Anomaly, likely because of the protections placed upon it. We are certain that the group are independent, however, as they have been seen battling Louhi's forces as well as the Reavers and Watch.

Anomaly #31

Location: Lone Pier at the Docks
Nature: Temporal
Notes: Understood to have a ship known as the Mist Wraith, from the time of Kesselharn, docked at the pier. The Mist Wraith is a nethervessel crewed by the unliving and believed to be the anchor itself.

Anomaly #32

Location: Central Path
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: Previously this anomaly was simply home to a number of undead. In the months that have passed, the power there has opened up into portals - we believe them to be to the Plane of Undeath.

Anomaly #37

Location: Triangle building by Citadel
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: The interior of this building appears to be swampland - the conjecture is that its convergence predates the building of the Citadel.

Resolved Anomalies:

Anomaly #1

Location: Slums
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: Manifestation of the Silver Folk invasion. Anchor was in the form of a Silver Folk transport beacon.

Anomaly #3

Location: The Citadel, Entrance
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: Portal to a fragment of the plane known as the Shattered World. Anchor was under the control of the Goddess Chibueze.

Anomalies 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Location: The Citadel, Interior
Nature: Various
Notes: Disparate anomalies of varying types which were protecting one another and had to be resolved in order.

Anomaly #12

Location: The Citadel, Exterior
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: Portal to the Elemental Plane of Fire. Anchor was under the control of the Goddess Khurshid.

Anomaly #13

Location: Shrine of the Netter
Nature: Secundal Reflection
Notes: Although it is possible to identify the nature of this anomaly, no further information can be gleaned; any attempt to investigate it further shows only the rippling form of a net.

Anomaly #15

Location: Inquisition Building
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: Time lock from directly after Asa Volki gave up the Mantle of the Reaver Lord. Anchor was in the form of an artifact of Tsu-Ling that had been coveted by Salas of the Deep.

Anomaly #16

Location: Inquisition Building
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: A portal to a portion of the Plane of Undeath had manifested here. It led to a region particularly empowered by curses and ill-fortune. Anchor was the portal itself.

Anomaly #18

Location: Ruins of the Cathedral of Primal Sunlight
Nature: Secundal Reflection
Notes: Any attempt to investigate this anomaly through the map causes sudden blindness. This effect is fortunately temporary.

Anomalies #19-22

Location: The Grey Tug
Nature: Varied
Notes: Given the nature of the Tug and its involvement in the empowerment of the Rite of the Ocean’s Claim it is likely that these anomalies are highly entropic and volatile. It is believed that they are all linked.

Anomaly #23

Location: Docks, Promenade
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: The base of the Chosen Five during the occupation of Port Miere. Time locked to the night before the Final Dawn. Anchor was in the form of the keys used to unlocked the inner chambers, one linked to each of the Chosen Five who led the assault.

Anomaly #14

Location: The Lighthouse
Nature: Mittlenacht Phenomena
Notes: Given the Port Miere Lighthouse’s significance in guiding people to and from the city regardless of its location, it is believed that the anomaly located here relates to the effect the city’s divergence had upon its previous function.

Anomaly #17

Location: Reaver Ship
Nature: Unknown
Notes: It is impossible to discern any information from this anomaly via the map, beyond that it is located within one of the ships known to belong to the Reaver Lord’s Chosen.

Anomaly #24

Location: Docks, Warehouse
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: It is believed that a portal or some other form of tear in reality has occurred within this location. This warehouse is notable for its being adjacent to one of the city's stone horns.

Anomaly #25

Location: The Slums
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: This anomaly is located a small number of streets from Anomaly #1, but does not appear to be identical.

Anomaly #26

Location: Eastern Wall
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: The streets near the wall have become partially flooded and the water level has been rising despite all attempts to channel it away.

Anomaly #30

Location: Warehouse
Nature: Convergence
Notes: Another fragment of the Shattered World, resolved as part of the expedition to Tivoria.

Anomaly #33

Location: North of Central Path
Nature: Convergence
Notes: Contained a door to the Shattered World. Anomaly was a poison creature that had manifested from the run off of bodies into the sewers.

Anomaly #34

Location: South of Central Path
Nature: Temporal Convergence
Notes: Much like the Cathedral of Primal Sunlight, time here appears to be replaying over and over - however, it does not depict any point in time with which we are familiar. It is potentially a convergence from the city's future, rare though that is.

Anomaly #35

Location: F-shaped building by Citadel
Nature: Convergence
Notes: Another fragment of the Shattered World, resolved as part of the expedition there.

Anomaly #36

Location: Tooth shaped building by Citadel
Nature: Convergent
Notes: Understood to an Embassy for the City of Keys, believed to be its Secundal Reflection rather than the now destroyed Primal city. The anchor is believed to be a coral crown in possession of the Embassy’s most senior delegate. Etheric, spectral processions have been seen leaving the structure drifting through the streets towards the docks before fading away, over the past weeks the sight had become more commonplace and those catching sight of them say they are becoming more real and less ghostlike.

Anomaly #38
Location: Set of Warehouses by the Docks
Nature: Convergent & Temporal
Notes: Twin anomalies are housed here. A confusing convergence of a structure that that until recently stood within rural Keys, within sight of the city walls, with the perceived Secundal refection of the same place. The Temporal anchor is thought to be a place spirit of the Secundal Reflection while the Convergent anchor is an amulet known as the Sun Droplet believed to be still within the anomaly.

Anomaly #39

Location: Set of Warehouses by the Docks
Nature: Convergent
Notes: Twin anomalies are housed here. An attempt to scry on the anomaly using the threat map resulted in the users eyes seemingly bubble and dissolve away in an near instant and their skin being horrifically scarred by the resultant liquid that ran down their face. No further scrying has been attempted.

Anomaly #40

Location: Southernmost, near Grey Tug
Nature: Planar Weakness
Notes: Appears to be full of undead, and not much besides - likely due to its proximity to the Grey Tug.

This notice has been updated with the progress of the primary exploratory force as well as the excellent investigative work of the secondary group working under Inquisitor Grey.

And we were doing so well, now there's all these new dangerous things to kill us!

How lucky that my time in the Penal Legion has prepared me for a life of repeated crushing disappointment.

Thanks to the efforts of the staff here at the Waystation, we have succeeded in recovering all of the lost data regarding the final anomalies. Due to the investigations into the presence of the Shattered World, we are also much more capable of recognising anomalies related to that plane than we were previously.

I remain optimistic that these can all be resolved before the year is out.

The records have also been updated with the sterling efforts of Inquisitor Grey's group, who I am confident will crack the final two assigned to his care before the year is out. Pleasingly, this places us over halfway.
