Firstly, my apologies for my intrusion into your great halls and heartfelt greetings from the 18th Imperial Legion.

I wished to pay my respects as the name of your great church does nothing but grow in reputation and esteem from any I have adventures with.

However, I today adventured to rescue the inhabitants of a lost village with other members of my legion amongst a number of brave and valiant adventurers amongst whom was a doughty dwarf by the name of Danorlim Icehammer.

For context, for most of the day, he was supportive and helpful and was certainly instrumental to our success but there were acts performed that concerned even me and I follow a truly neutral path.

On one occasion, we unfortunately lost one of our members, a strange creature from Amlas dressed entirely in black but a fierce fighter who had slain many of our foes. Unfortunately, he succumbed to some poisoned treasure and passed. In Danorlim’s favour, he was the one who then revived this individual, using almost all of his personal power to do so which was to be admired.

However, the concerning part was personally watching him remove all of the treasure that this other person had collected and secrete it in his own bag. He did such under the auspice of aid, saying that he wished to protect the party member when he was back up so he couldn’t touch the poison but no attempt was made to then return the items or to aid by cleaning them so they could be returned. And even without such efforts, a simple warning would have sufficed to save our comrade.

Im afraid that what I witnessed was a clear moment of theft from the dead body of one of our own who had contributed to our success throughout.

It is not my place to cast judgement on one of yours, the hierarchy is clear in such matters but I would simply urge you to look into what I have said to validate the veracity of my words and take such actions or reparations as you deem fit.

Again, my deepest respects to you and your hallowed church and I am just glad to make your acquaintance.

The gent of whom you speak died of poison that was on the treasure that was already stashed deep within his bag.... any adventurer will know why I mention this... no body hides treasure that quickly who intends to share with the group.
I believe him to be a ninja type from Amlas, if anyone wishes to know his true name please feel free to ask.

My sincere apologies for misremembering your name.

I do not doubt that he had no intentions of sharing the loot he had gathered but the same can be said for many mercenaries with whom I have adventured, even those from within my own legion who seem to regularly end up with a probably unbalanced share of items and loot.

I have no interest in his name, that is an issue between you and he.

I was just rather sickened at the sight of a companion’s corpse being looted exactly as I would have been if it had happened to you.

However, I will leave these halls now with a final word of thanks to you personally Danorlim for your valiant efforts today and I only hope my comments will make you consider your actions today in the light of how well our party performed together otherwise.

You seem to forget that nothing taken belonged to man. In fact the man seemed so inclined to pick up everything found and hide it away that he nearly died one other time due to removing the Sprite generator. When he died it was because he was intent on taking everything and sharing nothing. I am still waiting for my share of the treasure he retained. Next time I am not going to be so eager to help thieves if this is the thanks we receive. Danorlim did nothing wrong.

Interestingly RazTul, he retained no treasure or additional recompense.

But let us leave these people to their thoughts and we can discuss within the legion. If you condone the looting of dead party members then maybe we do not share the same values.

Thank you kindly for bringing this to my attention this evening, please feel free to rest within these halls while I explain my position.

Food, ale and an appropriate amount of healing shall be provided to our new visitors whom I will always welcome with open arms (Dagda says this rather loudly and looks around the large tavern full of grumbling dwarves who complain and stare at these obvious Imperial soldiers being in their bar who suddenly go quiet and resume their drinking and merriment - albeit keeping a watchful eye on these 'guests')

It seems to me a simple issue of a view of perspectives and I would add that young Danorlim has previously proven himself to be a most stout dwarf and member of my faith personally slaying many Duergar on a recent expedition proving his mettle to me is without measure.

That being said however as you may or may not know, I am also a stern leader of my kin and will not tolerate any actions which would bring my church into disrepute.

You highlight the actions of my kin and easily gloss over the initial theft of these articles from your group by this one individual who, stupidly soon found out that his love of a quick bit of coin no doubt cost him his life and threatened you all - my hope is that you will also eagerly be bringing this to the attention of any suitable groups and associations the deceased had so as to warn them about his character (or lack of).

In the restoration of this mans life and the saving of it again by relieving him of the poisoned 'acquired' trinkets I see the actions of my priest and your concerns are at odds.

I would point out that this was not some act of simple grave robbing as you gently suggest but the repatriation of treasure gained by the group as a whole and kept from you and your group.

Put succinctly, your focus is wrong in my opinion and I hope that you have learned something of the ways of these 'ninjas' you seem to hold in higher regard to the follower of my faith.

Danorlim is not naturally a skilled priest in the art of healing but more equipped for issues of spiritual enquiry and so I see no issue at all with him recouping some cash for his efforts earlier today - especially, goods which he was in part entitled too anyway as part of your joint mission.

Please feel free to rest and not hastily retreat away from our halls, the ale at this time of year is particularly good and I may have a barrel or two stashed away for new guests who bring me news, ill or otherwise.

Come join me by the fire young Acteon and Raz'Tul Zhor and tell me more of your Legion... there is no need to rush off... you have both had a busy day and I am keen to learn about your other battles and victories recently - perhaps, I may if you wish, explain to you a little more about our faith and its other view points for future reference...
