It had taken a few days for the word to spread around the city, but it seemed that the current council had worked with an old Councillor, the recently returned Magiarch Agoastin, who wove a powerful rite to save the City from being struck by a Ritually empowered shooting star.

It seemed that the council and their allies put a lot of work into sourcing the most rare and valuable of ritual artefacts and paraphernalia from around Primus for use in the rite to save the city.

Rumour had it that the now popular Magiarch was nearly stopped in his great rite to protect the city when The White Wind stormed his tower. The fierce battle that ensued was so close that only a single member on the Magiarchs guard survived the vicious assault. Only now is the word spreading at how close the City was to being hit by the shooting star, as would likely have happened if The White Wind had succeeded in their insane plan.

But this was not the only major event that took place in the City this weekend.

A decade after the Battle of Sellaville’s Snow, The King of Dusted Bone and Broken Truths once more marched upon the City. It seemed that destroying the Skeletal King could only banish him for a decade, after which he would return with vengeance in his dull glowing green eyes.

Having discovered the King of Dusted Bone and Broken Truths and his legion were attracted to vitae, the mercenaries used the Far Flame Waystation, situated outside of the City, as their base of operations. Having been burnt down several times over the years it was built of stout Brandin stone, with a strange purple tint to it. However, this did not stop the rest of the Waystation being smashed up during the skirmishes that took place around and within it last Starsday.

It was from here on Starsday eve that the Council of Sellaville and their mercenary allies went to do battle with the skeletal King and his legion.

The local Kallah, rich in the local knowledge that is repeated by mouth, rather than the written word, lost at the Night of Levity, managed to deal with this.

They created a sufficiently ritually significant torch of the City allowing one of their own, a tall young beggar from Ember street, to be able to lay his final blow laying the King to rest and making his skeletal legion collapse to dust.
