Rice fields do not regularly have a personality. One would not usually describe a rice plant as being animate, or having emotion, or reacting. But today... You could sense something. A certain sway. A certain noise as the wind passes through the fields. A certain... Something.

Far from the fields, Shou Tochiko Inoshishi and his men gather around a great fire. Drums banging in an almost tribal manner. The harmonic melodies sung by various gathered members could just about be heard over the crackling of the great fire and the drums. Almost as if under the forget spell, night time arose and drowned the landscape in an onyx glow. The energy around the great bonfire had no warn down, and people were no less alert than they were 6 hours prior. For some reason, despite being a sad affair, this seemed like a bit of a celebration for the Boar people.

At the hour of nine, Shou held his hand into the sky, and within an instant the drums stopped, as did the singing. There were some strands of conversation from the local people heard but not for very long. Not for very long whatsoever. Shou's personal scribe sat next to him, and wrote his speech down word by word, which would later be published onto the local boards around the Uyerlesen province. The speech read:

'People. Great great people of Boar. Today, we mourn. Today, we lose one of our own. Today... we weep. For the special connection of two born into the world at the same time has been spoiled by the actions of one. However, whilst we weep and mourn, we must also celebrate! Celebrate for that bad apple has been stripped from our community, stripped from our core, and stripped from out values! May the hells below treat him deservedly.

Out of the two, however. One is still favoured by the Celestial heavens. The good apple of the two, died protecting what he knew was right! Died protecting the clan and our values. For this, we bow to his name. Let this evening be not a mourning for his death, or sadness in his passing, but a celebration in the removal of evil from our roots!'

A speech short, but effective. Huge cheers could be heard throughout the lands along with the starting of drums and singing. Embers still burnt the morning after. Sake was drank heavily. Many rice workers did not like the early rise.
