We all love a good points app. And talking about them...
So, what’s your favourite points app? Your own one, or even something someone else has that you think is cool. Maybe a bit comedy, cool, crazy tough, or just so old it’s ridiculous. Happy Friday! Carlo |

Instead of getting more power from medding, I got a non-standard that halves the time to get 1 mana back that could be bought multiple times. In the end, I had med in 15 second blocks...

It's the world swarm. 20 ep evocation that generates a mass 20ft cloud of creeping swarm, swarm of flies, and a lot of cv2s that I can pull together to make last for 35 minutes.

I had a dying effect that gave every undead in the system a perm rockskin. And something else...too long ago, details fuzzy.
Was only meant to last a month but agreed to perm die, no rebirth, to extend it for 3 or 6 months. I believe the Mortai guild special the weekend after the system effect kicked in was carnage! And the proper full undead PCs at the time had a blast! Cheers, Sean |

Playing the game:
If I hit benson in the balls, I get 12 spirits back. If I hit him in the balls and he’s playing a character, I get 24 spirits back. If I hit Narstar in the Balls I get 24 spirits, a prepped total heal and a stacking level of resistance for the day. If benson hits me in the balls I die perm. -------------------- QUOTE(Jack) Only the good die young. Many characters, long signature got boring. - Guild head of Frontline, Wahadamune and Children of the Dusk, PM me for permission to join if needed! - Head of the Fae Court of Delirium Noble House, PM for any info you need! - Yes I will ref your guild special or campaign! |

Points spend by dice roll. Obvisouly has the potential to be awesome at 50,000 points, but great potential to be utterly toss on the way there!

Probably the one that has had the most impact on the system, for good or for ill
Voids Wand of Thunder, designed as a Themeday "Fight-in" glyph so you could actually contribute and not burn through all your power in the first few encounters of historic Themedays. Subsequently got copied by other players and then made the Wizards Grimoire as Stormcaller. -------------------- Gordon Court

From a game mechanic perspective... I used to have a pathed white wiz who summoned 24hr mantic sabre L&T. There was a 10pt ability ‘static’ which imparted just enough power to a weapon (not shield) that it clashed with to allow both me to parry mundane weapons, and mundane weapons to parry me. I remain surprised this has not yet become a standard option/effect because it means you can actually fight vs ‘my blows hit you theoretically, as do your blows on me...’
The same character also had a scrying glyph that allowed use of ‘farsee’ For 5mins allowing a roving vision of somewhere else... requiring a mirror or bowl of water. I then found a mirrored metal bowl phys rep and had to points app an increase to metal allowance to use it. It wasn’t Uber power but was a great and inclusive comms style ability (inclusive as others could see the picture too). |

Lord Doom and Darkbane, the melni brothers. That goes to show just how old Greenaway is too! Don't think it was blanket immunity to dismissal...maybe higher dismiss lvl or somesuch. Cheers, Sean |

Can you explain this for the more noobish of us please? You couldn't use Rockskin and Forearm/foreleg parry together because Webdale had a moan about it on a Friday thread -------------------- Rich

I think it had something to do with rockskin and forearm parry but don't quote me on that

Magical Mystery Tour, without a shadow of a doubt...it's the gift that keeps on giving.
Which reminds me, I'm down tomorrow...so if someone wants a pre-dungeon trip, let me know. |
